Eartham House is situated to the southern end of the hamlet of Eartham. The first reference to the establishment of a residence at Eartham was in 1743 when Thomas Hayley purchased a small estate from the heirs of Sir Robert Fag in order to build a house for his summer retirement. After his death in 1775, the house was occupied by his son William Hayley who was a poet. The House, which has been the home of Great Ballard School for the last forty years, is a magnificent country house set in 30 acres of glorious countryside. There are extensive views to the south coast and Chichester. The house still has many Regency features, but was extensively enlarged and remodelled by the famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens, at the beginning of the twentieth century. Up to 100 guests can be seated in the Dining Room and adjoining conservatory. One of the rooms accommodates a dance floor. Canapes can be served in the adjoining conservatory. This venue offers a special day set against a romantic Regency backdrop.

These have been at The Great Barn at Dorset House (also known as Bury Manor Barn), Eartham House and many private receptions in people's gardens in West Sussex and Hampshire. My extensive wedding catering experience, coupled with my formal training at the Berkeley Hotel, The Westbury and the Groucho Club in London allows me to provide a professional and reliable service. I use locally sourced organic and free range produce.

But it was an absolutely lovely day and I think Eartham House is a rare find, so many of our guests commented on how lovely the building was and while we were setting up Mark and the lady on reception were just so helpful and kind. The food was great too and your staff were wonderful on the day, they were super friendly and both my sister and I found the young man with short brown hair (sorry I didn’t catch his name) to be particularly helpful, he was great 👍🏼 Beautiful venue, wonderful food and the staff just made the whole day perfect and it’s been a pleasure to work with you, you accommodated every idea we had and helped us to organise just the most wonderful day so thank you. Hi Susan Thank you so much for Saturday. We had the best day and couldn't of asked for more. The food was excellent and our guests commented on how wonderful it was and the high quality of the canapés and the wedding meal. The waiting staff were superb and very attentive. Again the guests commented on the service. Your son was particularly attentive and looked after myself and Charlotte throughout the day. Thank you again for making our day so special.
