Danby Castle Barn

We booked our wedding just 8 months before we got married. The venue carried some sentiment for us and we were amazed at how affordable it was. From the point of booking, we were guided through the planning process and felt supported. Any questions were answered really quickly and comprehensively- nothing was too much trouble. We loved the food tasting experience to help us with choosing our menu. It was a tough choice as everything was delicious! So many of our guests complimented the food- some said it was the best wedding food they'd ever tasted! On the day itself, Leah ensured everything ran like clock work and quickly adapted to the changing weather conditions. She gave regular friendly prompts to keep us right and helped with lots of little touches like providing extra confetti when we ran out, moving decor and making sure everyone was comfortable. In the evening, Harvey was so patient and continued to keep everything running smoothly. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Danby Castle and wish we could do it all over again!

Danby Castle Barn – A Wedding Photographer’s Dream Spot! So, I finally got to shoot a wedding at Danby Castle Barn, and honestly? I’m hooked. This place has it all, stunning views, loads of character, and a bit of history woven into every corner.

Our wedding at Danby Castle Barn was perfect in every way. The venue is beautiful. The staff are attentive from making the initial booking to the very end of the journey on the day and they genuinely can not do enough for you. We had an amazing experience from start to finish and can not thank Danby enough!

Growing up I always knew I wanted to get married over the Yorkshire moors as it was my happy place and Danby castle was my dream venue, our dream became a reality on the 9th of March 2025 (also mine and my partners anniversary date which made it so much more special) Danby listened to every request I had and went above and beyond for us, our wedding coordinator Holly and Britney and all the other staff were incredible and made us feel so special throughout our day. It will always be the highlight of our lives.

I attended a friends wedding reception here last week, it's the perfect venue from the setting to the friendly staff. I can understand why so many people fall in love when they visit. Also, having lost a bag during the day, the staff were so nice checking in to make sure we had located it - thanks again :D

We booked this venue 2 years in advanced, it was the only one we visited and fell in love with it. The venue speaks for itself it has loads of character and those veiws are stunning! Our day was perfect! Honestly couldn't of gone any better the staff were amazing from start to end, the food was delicious too! We simply had the best wedding day EVER! My only problem is our day went by too quickly!..... it feels more like a dream than reality. We just loved it! ♡
