Located in East Devon in an AONB along the Jurassic Coastline, Cranberries Hideaway is ideally situated for your perfect day. Set in 100 acres this former 12th century dairy farm has been transformed to give you a beautiful setting for yourselves and family and friends to enjoy.
A backdrop of the ocean and surrounding countryside completes the stunning scenery,we do have the perfect setting to create pure magic. You can tie the knot in our outside dedicated wedding pagoda for a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the historic Jurassic Coastline. Cranberries also has our new dedicated first floor ceremony area, still with stunning views and able to host a ceremony for up to 130.
There is plenty of outside space for garden games, social time, photographs and to simply stand back and admire the breathtaking views,
Cranberries Hideaway holds a civil ceremony license for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, and can offer full exclusive use of Cranberries hideaway for accommodation and site for a whole weekend of celebrations.
Celebrate in The Venue, our purpose built function room is airy light and has ample space for dining and dancing, and of course bar! Everything is in one ideal location. Suitable for weddings of 50 to 200!
We offer a range of catering menus from our dedicated chef and his brigade. Our Hog Roast is always a firm favourite!
Cranberries offers accommodation for up to 78 guests, thus allowing a full weekend celebration, everyone can retire to our beautiful rooms to great nights sleep after the party has finished

It was absolute perfection, the venue was stunning, the staff were incredible and our wedding was flawless because of you. Thank you to Steven Littley , Heidi Lowes , Chelsea, Kirsty, Caroline and Natalie for helping us celebrate our special day! The afternoon tea wedding breakfast was so fresh, tasty and was exactly what we wanted. The BBQ was equally as perfect!! We could not ask for more, our day was everything we expected and so much more than we could imagine. All staff did such a good job to ensure that we had a perfect day and that everything ran smoothly. The venue and surroundings are stunning and tick every box. We would defiantly recommend. Steve, Verity and the rest of the team were brilliant, so helpful getting us all organised and the day ran like clockwork. We had just over a hundred guests who all loved it and enjoyed themselves so much, it was a perfect day. Cranberries is an excellent venue for weddings, we loved the fact that a lot of our guests were able to stay in the beautiful rooms on offer which meant people could really relax and make the most of the whole weekend. Absolutely amazing. Venue beautiful, food perfect as ordered, optional extras very well managed (great fireworks!). Even weather to order (we were very lucky). Perfection. Thoroughly recommend and thank you Cranberries for allowing us to achieve such a memorable day.My daughter's wedding was here June 1st 2017. The Romanian chef is friendly and a good laugh. The drinks were a fair price for a private hotel. The food was very well prepared and served. The staff did everything to accommodate the event. As a dog owner, I saved half the price of a two day stay by not putting the dogs in kennels and we were directed to two fields within the grounds that we could let them run. The room was equipped with every modern convenience clean and comfortable. This is a beautiful hotel complex with cottage type accommodation spread around. The views and walks are exceptional. Only 3/4 mile to a modern dinner and a local foody pub if you don't want to dine on the complex itself. I have heard of some moans but couldn't find a thing to main about, except having to leave. Verity was excellent throughout, she made sure we were happy and that we had everything we needed. Food was excellent! All the guests agreed. Drinks were reasonable, staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean etc. The honeymoon suite is amazing. It's very laid back but that's a good thing. Perfect!What can I say... It was perfect! The staff all worked so hard to make sure that the day was amazing for us and it was. To start, the set up was great, all hands on ready to help and suggest any helpful ideas to make things look even better.The rooms were incredible, we ended up using all the rooms in the complex and our family and friends were over the moon with the facilities, nice clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds with amazing views. On the day everyone was directed to the correct areas, the bar was open in plenty of time for guests to have drinks (which were very reasonably priced) and the set up outside looked incredible. The staff made sure the registrar new exactly where we all were and that there was no stress before the wedding, The whole day ran smoothly the food was fabulous, we couldn't fault a thing, it was delicious and came out quickly with compliments all around from our guests. Everything was cleared quickly and staff were around to help the band set up and prep for the evening guests where we danced the night away. Anyone looking at Cranberries for a weekend away or an event I would strongly recommend, I have stayed here several times and each time it has been noting but exceptional and I can't wait to head back and use the facilities again.
