Description
Designed by the Scottish architect David Bryce, the Ballroom was completed in 1876. Truly Scottish in style and setting, the enchanting Ballroom gives a sense of scale, history and occasion for a wedding for up to 220 guests. The ballroom has excellent acoustics, a large stage, two open fires, a fine dance floor and a state-of-the-art lighting system; all the ingredients for the perfect party.
In addition to the castle’s ground floor where the entrance hall, ballroom and Banvie hall are, one can, under special circumstances, extend the wedding to include the State Dining Room. The Grand state Georgian dining room on the first floor has picturesque views across the hills of Perthshire. Our formal dining room can accommodate wedding ceremonies for up to 75 people or a wedding breakfast for up to 60 guests.
A perfect outdoor addition to your wedding at Blair Castle, the private West Lawn is accessible only through a locked door on the castle’s ground floor. This exclusive garden boasts unrivalled views across Highland Perthshire and is an ideal venue for an outdoor wedding ceremony or drinks reception for up to 160 guests.
The Hercules Garden is a truly memorable space for capturing the perfect wedding day photographs. The nine-acre garden incorporates a landscaped pond, a Chinese-style bridge, a folly and an orchard of over 100 fruit trees.
Our range of lodges are the perfect intimate wedding venue with spectacular views over Highland Perthshire. The Highland Lodges offer a secluded setting for wedding celebrations with close friends and family. Choose from Clachan Farmhouse & Cottage, Kindrochet Lodge, Old Blair, Forest Lodge or Tulliemet House. All are different in style and character, but equally romantic and inviting.

The castle itself is simply stunning, atmospheric and unique. The estate is full of places for guests to stay, dine and experience the Scottish Highlands. Our guests were in total awe of the venue as many had never been into a Scottish castle - the ballroom packs a real punch. The venue allowed us to personalise our wedding to something that reflected us as a couple. We chose our own caterer, entertainment, florist, decorations and type of ceremony. The staff were so accommodating and made our vision come to life. Big particular shout out to Tom for moving all our furniture around perfectly!! We loved every minute of our day because we got to make it our own. From a raging rock band, to barbeque food served to the tables, to a pizza van, to a photo booth, we got everything we wanted out of our day and made amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Commenting on the stunning setting and how there was so much attention to detail - the umbrella's and the coat stand were both mentioned!.. and Greg and I just feel that we had so so much to thank you for making the day so special. Picking up the reins half way through the planning and allowing us to shift the date on two years, and accommodating every request that we had. THANK YOU so much. They made all of our requests happen and seamlessly brought the wedding of our dreams to life.
