Bignor Park is a fabulous, family run wedding venue, epitomising rural elegance in the heart of West Sussex. Tucked quietly away down a half-mile drive, it is a majestic hidden gem with understated style, and romantic charm. At Bignor Park, we believe that your wedding should be all about you as a couple and your dreams for your perfect day. So, we provide the stunning ‘blank canvas’ and inspirational ideas, and your imagination will decide the rest, ensuring that your dream wedding will be unique and unforgettable. We will be there to help you every step of the way to create the best day of your life in our beautiful venue. We also believe that you should have the time and space to enjoy it all, so our wedding bookings are limited to twelve couples per year, and all our weddings have exclusive use per weekend with access two days prior to your day to allow you plenty of time to set up. Our Civil Ceremonies license is outside at the Greek Loggia, part of eleven acres of beautiful grounds incorporating formal gardens, sweeping lawns, the temple and zen pond. Receptions in the rustic and quirky Stables include the Courtyard and Quadrangle, or a marquee or tipi tent reception on the Croquet Lawn makes the most of the panoramic views. Bignor Park offers a magical setting for your perfect day - we look forward to welcoming you. COVID lockdown reassurance: during the two lockdowns when wedding venues had to close due to government restrictions all of our wedding couples (bar one) asked to postpone their weddings and we found new dates for them at no added venue hire fee cost. The couple who were unable to reschedule were refunded their venue hire fee in full. Practical points: choose from a specially curated list of external caterers, no corkage charges, one hundred wooden, folding chairs and a variety of tables included in the hire fee, fire pits allowed in the courtyard and quadrangle (unless canopy installed, for obvious reasons). Quiet, private, lockable day room included for the couple ('the tack room').
The best weddings at Bignor Park are the ones with the most personal touches - they feel more meaningful. At Bignor Park with two days to set up prior to your wedding day, there is plenty of time for doing all the finishing details which will make your wedding 'you'.
It's all in the planning! I have event managed over 100 weddings at Bignor Park so really know my way around and am here to help every step of the way. Wet weather contingencies are a must. Surround yourselves with the fewest possible number of suppliers for the sake of your wedmin inbox. Book with people who really 'get' you as a couple and what you really want for your wedding.
Lots of Bignor Park weddings have photos displayed of the couples throughout their relationship which are just lovely, and show how they have arrived at this pivotal point in their lives together.
Elegant, Rustic, Beautiful, Exclusive, Flexible
There are so many amazing places for photos in the grounds and gardens, but probably the most stylish is the backdrop of the Georgian house - it has a Mediterranean / Tuscan feel. Wedding photographers are absolutely spoilt for choice!
We couldn't possibly comment!!
I really love a mini yorkshire pudding with beef and horseradish - yummy!
Pizza all the way...
The colour of the house!
Undoubtedly, weddings take a lot of organising, but actually the most important part is the commitment that each wedding couple is making to each other, either at a civil ceremony in our grounds, or in church before they arrive for their reception - the rest is just a great party!
