Amazing venue

A perfect day in the 6th floor of this special venue. Everything went exactly to plan and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The afternoon tea we had as our wedding breakfast was out of this world too! Highly recommend this venue.

Wedding of my Dreams!

We had our wedding at The Baltic 16/11/19. The entire team were FANTASTIC! I could not have wished for a better day. The whole process was a dream. The team keep in contact with you, keep you calm and up to date. They are also extremely creative and professional. I gave them my wedding decorations the night before and they worked magic with them. Honestly I can’t thank them enough for giving me the wedding of my dreams

Unique Venue

The Baltic is such a unique venue, and the weddings team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Though we were halfway across the UK in London, Rachael and her team made us feel so confident and comfortable about choosing the Baltic as our venue. The staff were so friendly on our big day, and the food was absolutely incredible. People cannot stop talking about it! We could not have picked a better venue, or a better team, to help host our wedding. Thank you so much Rachael for pulling out all the stops and making us feel so special.

It was truly an incredible day we will never forget! All of the team from beginning to end were amazing and we can't thank them enough. Lots of guests were commenting on not just on how fabulous the venue is but about about the staff too and how great they all were. We are so thankful to you for coordinating everything and looking after us from booking to now. Thank you!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Ask your wedding planner questions! We have helped dozens of couples through the course of planning their wedding with no question too daft or silly, we love to help and would rather you asked - it's not something you plan every day so use our experience to help you, that's what I'm here for!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Personal vows are such a lovely touch, and I see more and more couples trying to add more of their personality into the celebrations with the centrepieces echoing their favourite cities or hobbies as well as even 'nicknames' for guests on their place-cards. All these special touches make the day more memorable and special.

Describe Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in 5 adjectives

Iconic. Individual. Stylish. Unique. Northern.

Where’s the best photo spot at Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art?

Level 4 Viewing Terrace is a sweet spot especially in the warmer months. On one side we have the graphic font from the historic architecture of the building looking back along the Tyne but to look forward, with the Millennium Bridge in the background, it is a photographer's dream and encapsulates the whole feel of a building with such stunning height to enjoy these views.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art?

Of course. But it would be rude of us to share...

What’s your favourite canapé?

Tempura Cauliflower - and it's Vegan too!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Despite some couples moving away from your traditional tiered wedding cake, I still love that we can slice and serve your cake for guests to help themselves during the evening reception as long as all allergen info is shared. A little sweet pick-me-up never hurt anyone...

What is Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art most unique feature?

The glass scenic lifts which lift you up 6 floors to our stunning glass encased contemporary restaurant, Six.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our dedication to sourcing delicious local ingredients and our nose-to-tail ongoing campaign to use all we can from the meats we source. The food is so important on your wedding day, come to a venue that has the experience and love of local ingredients to make it a truly memorable day but that doesn't mean we can't accommodate Vegetarian or Vegan preferences - we have already had 3 Vegan weddings this year.
