We are not a Manor, Hall or Estate. We are not a Barn, Hotel or Estate, we are ASHFIELD HOUSE. When couples take over exclusively for their wedding day, our house becomes like their home and we become like their extended family! Our house is a gorgeous blank canvas for weddings, it is grand yet homely and is jam packed full of quirky details (old and new) yet somehow manages to soak up the personality of each couple. The atmosphere here is full of love and joy, probably because of the absolute legends that make up our wedding team, busy doing their dream job day in day out! Our house and our team are laid back, fun, creative and wild – but not so hipster your Nan wont approve! We are not normal… being an independent family business means we let couples do their thing without a load of rules getting in the way. We love drinking coffee and brainstorming about how to make weddings awesome – and with a layout designed specifically for weddings, mind blowing in house catering and 15 guest bedrooms we really do ace it. Shameless brag, we’ve won the UK’s best venue (town/city) 2017, 2018 and 2019 and for 2020 we are living the dream as judges! We never stop evolving, much like Madonna Queen of Reinvention, we close each year to redecorate, renovate and populate our house with very lovely new things.

A huge thank you to Marjorie and the team at Ashfield House for giving us our dream wedding day. From our first viewing at the venue, we were blown away by all the beautiful interior, the gorgeous grounds and all the different rooms we could use throughout the day - having the whole venue and the rooms upstairs for our guests for the day made it feel so much more intimate which was the vibe that we wanted. Marjorie could not have been more responsive to our endless emails and queries and we really felt so supported in the entire process which is what every couple wants to feel in the lead up to the day! Nothing was too much trouble and on our wedding day, Marjorie was on hand from getting ready in the morning to the end of the night and helped our ceremony flow seamlessly. Our guests have since raved about the venue, the stunning food and the whole atmosphere created by the venue. I would urge anyone planning a wedding to consider Ashfield House for their big day, we are so spoilt in the North West with some amazing venues but Ashfield House is unique in EVERY way. We recently celebrated our wedding on 1st November 2025 at Ashfield House, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From our very first open day, we were captivated by the beautiful grounds, elegant rooms, and the iconic staircase, which was perfect for memorable photos. The team at Ashfield House were outstanding throughout the planning process. They were always quick to respond to emails and provided all the information we needed, making booking and preparation seamless. No request was too much trouble, and their attention to detail ensured nothing was overlooked. As our wedding day approached, we had several in-person meetings to hand over all the details. The staff even reminded us of things we had missed, such as confetti, showing their commitment to making our day perfect. On the big day, everything ran smoothly and to schedule, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. We appreciated the small pockets of time set aside for us to reflect and take in the day, a thoughtful touch we highly recommend. The food was exceptional, from the tasting session to the wedding itself. Highlights included honey mustard chipolatas, pulled pork burgers, duck parfait, roast beef, sticky toffee pudding, fried chicken, and lamb kebabs. Our guests raved about the generous portions and delicious flavours. A special mention goes to Majorie, our coordinator, who managed everything flawlessly. We had the most perfect wedding day here on Monday 1st September. Right from the beginning from our initial meeting to the actual day we can't fault the staff. They have an excellent team that looked after us and are guests so well. Ashfield House is a stunning place for weddings, you can personalise it to your own taste. The ceremony room is light and airy, and very beautiful. The food was outstanding and presentation was amazing. Beautiful grounds for outdoor photos. Stunning bedrooms. Jennie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Helpful and nothing was to much with no pressure what so ever the staff where fantastic courteous and the food was amazing. The day was perfect and neil the dj was brilliant. Would highly recommend Ashfield House.Jennie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Our wedding was such an enchanted day from beginning to end , Ashfield house is such a stunning venue . It has so much ambience , it had a wow factor from all our guests . All the staff were very attentive and cheerful . Leanne our wedding coordinator , was so attentive from our first meeting , she evening brought us food and drinks throughout the day and checking on us . We couldn’t have planned better without her , she is an asset to Ashfield House and will always have a special place in our heart ❤️ Our wedding was such an enchanted day from beginning to end , Ashfield house is such a stunning venue . Unbelievable.... that's all we can say... The staff at Ashfield house knocked it out of the park! Their organisation from the moment we sent that initial deposit off was second to none! It was the first venue we saw and we fell in love instantly!!!! Jennie and the team on the day we're spectacular and we have people all weekend complimenting the venue, the food, the music absolutly everything..... For two people who are naturally introverts Ashfield house was the perfect venue, it was completely tailored to us and they couldn't have done enough for us whether that's the big things like making sure everyone was meant to be to switching our drinks to a non alcoholic altertive in room one without us even asking!!!! Thank you so much Jennie and the team we are eternally greatful and thank you for making our first day as husband and wife so perfect! 💜Unbelievable.... that's all we can say... Couldn't have asked for a better location to get married in. The food was absolutely fantastic - the drinks selection was fantastic and all the staff were so wonderfully helpful with any requests we might've had. Throughout the whole process from planning to the morning after, they made us feel like royalty. Couldn't have rated them any higher and couldn't imagine getting married literally anywhere else. Couldn't have asked for a better location to get married in. The food was absolutely fantastic - the drinks selection was fantastic and all the staff were so wonderfully helpful with any requests we might've had. This venue is stunning , it feels so intimate and personal yet grand and beautiful .. We got married at Ashfield on the 27th Feb 2025 , and every part of the day was amazing , we had some challenges with decor yet Marj sorted everything without causing any stress .. It truly is such a special place , I wish we could do it all over again Please consider this venue because you won’t be disappointed This venue is stunning , it feels so intimate and personal yet grand and beautiful .. Ashfield House exceeded our expectations. We had a perfect wedding day. Absolutely everything from the venue, the staff, the food was fantastic with special thanks to Jenny who was just amazing in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself keeping everything running smoothly whilst being so calm and unobtrusive. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day and we have had so much positive feedback from all our guests about the day and especially about the amazing food.
