Exclusivity is the backbone of every wedding at Addington Palace. The entire estate is yours for the day: no other events running in parallel, no strangers wandering through your celebrations, no compromises on space or timing. LGBTQIA+ friendly, woman-owned, multi-faith and neurodiverse-friendly, it’s a venue that opens its doors to every couple and every kind of celebration, from vibrant Hindu ceremonies and Nikah celebrations to Afro-Caribbean gatherings and multicultural unions.

Ana, Head of Sales & Events, describes what the arrival experience feels like:

“The sweeping grand staircase sets the tone for an unforgettable grand entrance, leading you beneath the mesmerising French chandelier that glows above the Great Hall — an iconic centrepiece that leaves a lasting impression on every guest.”

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

The day begins well before the ceremony. Two dedicated getting-ready rooms let both parties prepare in style: the ivory-toned Empire Room is light and elegant, while the Wellington Room, with its rich red walls, has an energy built for toasts and quiet pre-ceremony nerves. Both make for striking backdrops long before you’ve reached the aisle.

For the ceremony itself, there are two licensed options. The Winter Garden is intimate and flooded with natural light, ideal for couples who want something personal and quietly grand. The Great Hall goes further, with an Italian marble fireplace, rich walnut panelling and that famous French chandelier overhead. After vows are exchanged, celebrations spill out onto the manicured South Lawn for drinks and canapés, with the palace and rolling grounds as the backdrop. In winter, the Morning Room, Library and Stairwell take over beautifully.

Come the wedding breakfast, the Great Hall comes into its own again, spacious enough to hold a full banquet, with soaring ceilings that make speeches feel like speeches. As evening arrives, the room shifts again: the acoustics lend themselves to a live band or DJ, while adjoining spaces can be dressed for a private bar, photo booth, casino tables or a games room. For a proper finale, the South Lawn is set up for fireworks.

Ana sums up the experience:

“Celebrations flow effortlessly through the Palace, and every space carries a sense of history and presence. This is where couples come to create something extraordinary — an experience that feels refined, immersive, and unmistakably their own, within a Palace that speaks for itself.”

Memorable Moments

Ask Ana about the weddings that have stayed with her and she’ll tell you it’s rarely the carefully planned moments that linger. It’s the ones nobody could have scripted.

“What stays with you isn’t just the planned beauty of the day, but those unexpected moments that can’t be replicated. Where something slightly surprising, slightly surreal, shifts the atmosphere in a way no one could have choreographed. It’s in those instances that the day becomes unmistakably theirs, shaped by the people, the energy, and the setting in that exact moment.”

Expert Advice

Ana came to the wedding industry spontaneously, but it’s clearly where she belongs. She describes what draws her to the work:

“I’m drawn to the mix of creativity, precision, and real, human moments. It’s one of the few spaces where every detail genuinely matters and where your work directly shapes how a day feels. What I love most is being trusted to quietly shape something that feels effortless on the surface but is deeply considered underneath.”

Her planning advice to couples? Protect the feeling of the day you actually want.

“Trust the feeling of the day you want — then protect it. It’s easy to get caught up in logistics, trends, and other people’s opinions, but the most memorable weddings are the ones where every decision comes back to a single question: does this feel like us? From the guest list to the music to the flow of the day, stay anchored to that. When a couple leads with that clarity, everything else falls into place.”
