Thorn-Clarke Wines chief winemaker, Peter Kelly, is an award-winning winemaker - hes definitely the person you want making wine that will be served at your wedding. Kelly graduated from the University of Adelaide with a winemaking degree, and since then has won the Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year award and was Dux of the Australian Wine Research Institutes Advanced Wine Assessment Course. The Thorn-Clarke family have been making tasty wine since 2001, but this family are actually sixth generation grape growers/viticulturists! Today, the Clarke family is one of the Barossas largest grape growers and winemakers, with 240 hectares of vineyard spread across four sites in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. What a great time at Thorn-Clarke Wines, the wines are interesting, the Ron Thorn Shiraz is amazing.
