Event Spaces at Hotel Shamrock

For your wedding, you can choose between traditional function rooms, outdoor balconies and modern reception halls: 

• Federation Room: The elegant room on the first floor features old-world charm, a majestic chandelier, marble mantelpieces and a wooden dance floor; the room has access to the balcony, which can be booked with the room for extra space; capacity: seated: 120 people, cocktail: 200
• Williamson St Balcony: Alfresco area with facilities for cold and warm weather, overlooking Williamson Street; capacity: seated: 50 people, cocktail: 80
• Gold Dust Lounge: Modern bar setting in the hotel basement, suitable for casual gatherings; the room consists of 2 spaces, available for combined or individual hire; red room capacity: 30 people, chandelier room capacity: 60 people.
• Baxter Room: The intimate wedding venue on the first floor, suitable for indoor ceremonies and low-key weddings, can be booked with the Williamson St Balcony; capacity: seated: 20 people, cocktail: 40
• Yard Bird Bar and Kitchen: Bright area arranged in typical American style, opens to the balcony with climate control and year-round use; capacity: seated: 25 people, cocktail: 40

Catering at Hotel Shamrock

Hotel Shamrock caters to seated and cocktail events, providing delicious customisable menus. There are three cocktail packages:

• Shamrock: Your choice of 5 regular canapés
• Premium: Your choice of 3 regular and 2 gourmet canapés
• Deluxe: Your choice of 5 gourmet canapés

Regular canapés selection includes traditional finger food options such as Moroccan chicken skewers, bruschetta, mini quiche and spring rolls. The gourmet selection offers elevated items, including marinated beef skewers, mini beef burgers and lime tuna carpaccio.

For seated receptions at Shamrock Hotel, choose between two and three-course menus. Both deliver a diverse range of modern Australian dishes influenced by international cuisines. Entrées like lamb skewers and beef carpaccio, beef cheek and salmon main are typical choices. Dessert options are chocolate pudding, apple crumble, mini Pavlova, etc.

For bar services, you can choose between two beverage packages, lasting from 3 to 5 hours:

• Premium: A variety of bottled beers and Wolf Blass wines
• Indulgence: Extended selection of wines and beers

If the beverage packages don’t suit your preferred wedding style, you can set a bar tab for your guests, and control the spend.
