Walking through the art-deco lobby into the George Ballroom is like stepping back in time. Originally opened in the 1860´s, our venue has been lovingly restored to its original period charm. It features wooden floorboards, signature heritage walls, high ceilings with intricate detailing and designer lighting. My wife and I just had an amazing wedding at the George Ballroom. This is truly one of Melbourne's hidden gems. Guests were blown away by the stunning venue and the food. My wife and I were blown away by the care and service provided by the staff. My partner and I celebrated our wedding at The George Ballroom, and WOW!!! The venue and staff alike, were incredible. The venue is stunning, and Ashleigh, the Events Manager, was amazing to work with, allowing our vision to come to life. It was a truly memorable ceremony, and we are so happy we got to say 'I do' in such a magical place. :)My partner and I celebrated our wedding at The George Ballroom, and WOW!!! But to go with the beautiful venue, is the delicious food, and great service of all the staff. Our event co-ordinator, Ashleigh, was fabulous, we felt completely at ease knowing everything was taken care of for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t even describe how amazing Ashleigh and her team at the George have been throughout the whole process and our wedding was honestly a dream come true.
