About the Venue
Located where two UNESCO World Heritage sites—the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef—come together, Silky Oaks Lodge sits on 80 acres of untouched rainforest. This secluded sanctuary is known for its unique treehouse-style suites and exceptional hospitality. Every detail is designed to make your wedding celebration effortless and unforgettable, with a focus on warm, generous service.
Ceremony and Reception Spaces
Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a larger celebration with exclusive use of the property, Silky Oaks Lodge offers versatile spaces tailored to your vision. An expert in-house wedding coordinator will guide you every step of the way. Please note, children aged 10 and over are welcome.
- The Daintree Pavilion: A luxurious retreat featuring glass walls and a soaring skillion ceiling. It includes two sleeping areas, a central lounge, a dedicated bar, and expansive decks with a fireplace and tiered infinity pool. Perfect for up to 80 guests.
- The Marrdja Pavilion: An open-air pavilion perched above the Mossman River, offering a relaxed and scenic setting for up to 60 guests.
- Kubirri Lounge: A cozy, air-conditioned space ideal for smaller gatherings or private dining for up to 12 guests.
- Private Dining: Enjoy a romantic riverside dinner with a three-course menu by candlelight, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the rainforest.

The menu features contemporary Australian cuisine with Asian influences, focusing on fresh, light dishes perfect for the tropical climate. Many ingredients come from the lodge’s own kitchen garden, ensuring every bite highlights the region’s vibrant flavors.

Your guests will enjoy 40 luxurious treehouse-style suites designed for comfort and connection with nature. Each suite features modern furnishings, local timbers, and wide verandahs with hammocks—ideal for relaxing among the treetops. Options range from the cozy Rainforest Retreat to the premium Billabong Suite and the expansive Daintree Pavilion, many with spa baths overlooking the rainforest.

We spent our 35th wedding anniversary at Silky Oaks and were thoroughly spoilt. Sleeping in beautiful rooms surrounded by the sounds of the rain forest was amazing. Meals were outstanding, so delicious and the paired wines made it even more special. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended for a special occasion, it won't disappoint. Brilliant location, food, service and accommodation. We spent our 35th wedding anniversary at Silky Oaks and were thoroughly spoilt. The exceptional quality of food, service, the inviting pool, and the luxurious outdoor bathtub (with their magical bath salts) in our accommodation were nothing short of amazing. Even the sheets on the massage tables were lovely. This photo is of the relaxation room overlooking the river and the jungle. Each room has a view of beautiful greenery. Bring cash to tip. My facial was non extractions, which was nice. And the scalp and shoulder massage that accompanied was lovely. My sister and I went to the spa and loved it. Also there are plenty of activities at the resort (outside the spa services) that are free. They also have high quality free washers and dryers along with detergent . Of course you can pay for laundry service. The spa was amazing so you should definitely experience it. We had an amazing experience at the Silky Oaks Lodge.
