Sandbar Beach Café is just what you need if you’ve always dreamt about a casual, beach wedding with great views of Port Phillip Bay. Typical days, Sandbar is a local favourite in Middle Park and beyond, but for weddings, the venue transforms into a bright and stylish venue for memorable days.
You can arrange a beach wedding ceremony, host a cocktail hour at the sunset with water views and enjoy a reception indoors. The unique reception area at Sandbar Beach Café is an adaptable space with floor-to-ceiling glass bi-fold doors opening to the bay and allowing fresh ocean breeze in.
The capacity of the venue is 150 guests for a cocktail reception.

Imagine saying I do at Sandbar Beach Café, with the beautiful bay as your backdrop. The Sandbar team is ready to make your fantasy wedding a reality, offering outdoor deck ceremonies and indoor setups to ensure a perfect day, no matter the weather.
The ceremony package includes:
- 20 chairs
- A signing table with linen
- Use of the Sandbar’s wedding arch
If you’ve imagined something else for your ceremony, Sandbar’s exclusive partner In2UCeremonies, offers ceremony bundles that feature extra furniture hire, relocation, transport and more.
Wedding Reception Packages at Sandbar Beach Café
Sandbar only hosts cocktail receptions. You can start your wedding party with an after-ceremony toast, and cocktail and add food platters. Platter options are:
- Mezze
- Antipasto
- Victorian cheese
- Fruit platter
- Pacific oyster platter
- Artizan pizza platter
There are three wedding packages at Sandbar, covering:
- 5-hour event duration
- 4-hour food services with optional platters and arrival cocktails
- 8, 10 or 12 canapés
- 2 or 3 substantials
- Optional dessert canapé
- 5-hour standard or premium beverage package

The venue is perfect, beautifully managed and operated by wonderful staff. The food was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for the venue or the staff, and we were absolutely delighted to have hosted our wedding there.
