Brianna handled everything, stayed in constant communications, explained everything. Nothing was too much for her to handle. They helped us set up, cleared everything after, and packed up our equipment. Waiters were friendly and always ready to go. It was fantastic to have kangaroos on the golf course. How many reception locations do you have?
At Riverside Oaks Golf Resort, we have two reception locations in which our couples can choose from:
Bungool: a 1900s heritage-listed cottage that offers spectacular views of the golf course and the Hawkesbury River, making it the perfect location for a cocktail wedding or a more intimate sized wedding. Can seat 50 people, or 100 people cocktail style.
Lounge Room: a stunning room consisting of floor-to-ceiling windows, capturing spectacular views of the golf course. It offers an ideal setting with impressive facilities, perfect for weddings. Can seat 200 people, or 300 people cocktail style
Do you have public transportation?
Riverside Oaks Golf Resort is situated in a peaceful semi-rural location, which means public transport options such as buses and trains are limited. However, Uber and taxi services are available to and from the venue. To ensure a smooth journey, we highly recommend arranging transportation in advance by pre-booking your ride.
How many ceremony locations do you have?
We offer two beautiful ceremony locations set within our picturesque golf course surroundings:
Gangarru: Nestled among towering gum trees, Gangarru provides a tranquil and elegant setting with natural shade during the warmer months. The resort's main building also creates a stunning backdrop for family and group photographs.
Bungool: Featuring a spacious manicured lawn, Bungool showcases breathtaking views of the Bungool golf course, the charming Bungool Cottage, and the scenic Hawkesbury River, creating a truly memorable ceremony setting.
Do you have accommodation?
We offer three lodge-style houses on-site, featuring ten Deluxe Rooms, two Executive Suites, one Accessible Suite, and a spacious communal area perfect for gathering and socialising. Our lodges can accommodate up to 72 guests based on twin-share occupancy. For larger groups, our Group Lodge includes ten twin rooms and can accommodate an additional 20 guests.
If you book a wedding with us at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort, you will receive a complimentary Bridal Suite, along with free breakfast in our Brasserie, while all your guests will receive discounted accommodation!
Do you have a wet weather option?
As both of our ceremony locations are set outdoors on the golf course, weather can sometimes be unpredictable. To ensure your day runs smoothly, we offer a beautiful indoor backup option in our Dining Room, featuring stunning floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Gangarru Course. Should the weather require a change of plans, our dedicated team will seamlessly transform the space, ensuring your ceremony remains every bit as special and memorable as you envisioned.
Do you have wildlife?
Yes! Riverside Oaks is home to a plethora of different wildlife. Known for our abundance of Australia's iconic kangaroos, Riverside Oaks offers a breathtaking setting where guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural surroundings and experience the unique charm of the Australian landscape. We home ducks, turtles, wallabies and the occasional pelican!
Do you cater to dietaries?
Yes! Our experienced chefs are dedicated to catering for a wide range of dietary requirements, ensuring every guest can enjoy their meal with confidence. During the planning process, you will work closely with our experienced Wedding Coordinator to discuss any dietary needs and preferences. We’ll take care of the details so you and your guests can relax and enjoy a seamless, stress-free celebration
What photo locations do you have?

Ruins: Our heritage-listed ruins are a favourite location, offering a timeless and atmospheric setting where you can step back in time while your photographer captures truly unique moments.
Bridges: The Gangarru Golf Course features charming bridges surrounded by tranquil ponds and graceful willow trees, creating elegant and peaceful backdrops.
Willow Trees: Our two sweeping willow trees are especially magical at sunset, casting golden light and creating an effortlessly romantic setting for intimate photos.
Hawkesbury River: a dedicated team member will take you by golf buggy to the Hawkesbury River. As the sun shines over the cliffs and reflects across the water, you’ll be captured in soft golden light with an unforgettable natural backdrop.
Do you allow pets on-site?
Yes, you are able to bring your furry friend along for the Ceremony! All animals must remain on a lead at all times. They aren't allowed to enter the reception area.
Can we have fireworks at our reception?
Absolutely! We allow Fireworks on the golf course which always such a hit with the guests. We do allow indoor fireworks and dry ice but please advise the Event Coordinator before the day to ensure everything runs smoothly.
