The staff were beyond amazing, the site lush and maintained, and the food was a perfect balance of curated classics. The whole experience was warm and inviting, and that is despite the cooler rainier weather which honestly just added to the ambiance more. The decor is fabulous, there is a good selection of beverages and yummy burgers on the menu. Friendly service and a beautiful view both inside and out. A unique place to visit, highly recommend it. Service, food, cocktails and beer were great and the tavern is cozy and super comfortable. They had live music both weekend evenings and that was great as well. It is just an hour and half drive from Hobart and is located very close to the River. The staff ( specially the guy at the bar ) were very friendly and welcoming . Rooms were clean and equipped with towels, brush, extra blankets and cute lamp under the bunk beds. The women’s toilet was clean both am and pm, but men’s toilet was not in the best condition. We were able to hire kayak from the Tavern and enjoyed our trip around the lake. Loved our stay at the River Run Lodge. It is just an hour and half drive from Hobart and is located very close to the River. The staff ( specially the guy at the bar ) were very friendly and welcoming . Super cool place right on water surrounded by bush. Best kayaking experience I’ve had by far. The tavern is exquisite and totally feels like you’re walking into a movie. Food was fantastic and cheap. I absolutely loved the place and the staff. I will definitely be back. Appreciated they had a gym too. Highly recommend to anyone it’s a hidden haven!
