On the shores of Balmoral Beach, the Public Dining Room stands as a spectacular wedding venue for intimate and mid-size celebrations. The venue hosts ceremonies and receptions and offers an exquisite contemporary wedding menu carefully curated by an in-house head chef.
This venue is less than half an hour from Sydney CBD and provides authentic coastal vibes and great views of the beach.
Facilities at Public Dining Room
There are a few options for your wedding celebration at this venue:
- Private Dining Room: Bright room with floor-to-ceiling windows and exclusive beachfront deck; capacity: 33 people seated, 40 cocktail
- The Terrace: Covered indoor space with an outdoor feel and stunning water vistas; capacity: 57 seated, 70 cocktail
- Complete Venue: Unique wedding experience that gives you access to the entire venue and its facilities, including a jetty for boat venue access; capacity: 110 seated people, 135 cocktail
Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Balmoral Public Dining Room
Wedding ceremonies can be hosted on the Terrace in various timings for lunch or dinner. The earliest you can expect your ceremony to begin is 11.30 for lunch wedding and 5.30 for dinner weddings.
If you want to start the wedding ceremony earlier, it is possible with an additional charge.
After the ceremony, the staff can serve drinks and canapés, before moving in for the reception.
Wedding Menus at Public Dining Room
With a focus on Mediterranean cuisine, the Public Dining Room has delicious menu options, such as;
- Choice menu: Two canapés, entree, main, dessert
- Share feasting menu: Two canapés, share entrees, mains, desserts
- Cocktail menu: 8/12 standard canapés, 2/4 substantial and 2 sweet items per person
Drink options include standard consumption bar and beverage packages, basic and premium.

Kylie and the team are extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. Everyone is enjoying the time. Service is great. The food are great overall but the steak is overcooked a bit. We had a number of guests with mobility issues and this is one of the only fine dining venues in Sydney that could completely accommodate our guests, e.g. some venues say they are disability friendly but have steps leading into the bathrooms. We had originally booked our wedding at PDR in April 2020.We would strongly recommend booking Public Dining Room for your next event.
