Waterfront Wedding Ceremonies on the Swan River, Matilda Bay
The Club’s lush green Riverside Lawn provides the perfect location for a completely serene and beautiful waterside Ceremony, offering a spectacular setting for your wedding photos.
So why not choose to incorporate the Swan River into your ceremony by making an entrance by boat? Or pop over to The University of Western Australia to take some wedding photos in their lush gardens – it’s only a two-minute drive from the Club!

Your Choice of Two Function Rooms & Reception Lawn
Take your pick from our beautiful Riverside Lawn, the elegant Kilburn Hall, or our light and airy Col Taylor Lounge – three of Perth’ best wedding venues in the one stunning waterfront location. All three function spaces have beautiful views of the river and city, and our upstairs function spaces include use of the balcony overlooking the water.
Need a little more space? Why not consider hiring the entire upstairs level or the entire venue for the duration of your wedding.
Wedding Catering at Mounts Bay Sailing Club
Mounts Bay Sailing Club allows you the freedom to select your own wedding caterer for your event, did someone say food trucks? Gelato cart? The Club has two large catering kitchens that service the ground and upper floors available for your caterers to use.
We regularly work with some of the best catering companies in Perth, so get in touch if you are unsure of where to start.
In partnership with Weddings & Events Unlimited, we can also offer an all-inclusive wedding ceremony and reception package including personalised catering to suit your needs.
Beverage Packages at Mounts Bay Sailing Club
When making your beverage choices for your function we have two formats for you to choose from. You can either choose a beverage package or create your own custom selection against your minimum spend or bar tab. We are more than happy to discuss drink options with you and will endeavour to get your preference of drinks in for your event.
A cocktail bar can even be set up for your event if you fancy doing something a little special for your guests. We have a wide range of experience when it comes to your mixology wishes and are happy to meet your cocktail needs!
Our staff are well trained, have their RSA certification and offer an exceptional level of customer service for each and every event. Your function will be assigned the appropriate number of staff for your total guest number as well as an Approved Bar Manager to oversee the bar operation on the night.
In addition, whilst we are happy to offer tray service for up to an hour per event, we are unable to offer table beverage service.

What an incredible venue with the most gorgeous view! Max the events coordinator was incredible to work with, no request was too difficult and his communication was so efficient. Thank you Max for making the whole wedding planning process so much easier, we cannot say thank you enough for how helpful you were! The venue comfortably accommodated our 150 guests and we even filled up the massive dance floor!My husband and I held our wedding reception at Mounts Bay Sailing Club in April 2021. What an incredible venue with the most gorgeous view! Max the events coordinator was incredible to work with, no request was too difficult and his communication was so efficient. Thank you Max for making the whole wedding planning process so much easier, we cannot say thank you enough for how helpful you were! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
One of our favourite weddings was a beautiful sunset ceremony on the Riverside Lawn, with the Swan River and city skyline as the backdrop. Afterwards, everyone moved upstairs to Kilburn Hall for a relaxed, joy-filled reception full of laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches. From their dog walking down the aisle to a sparkler send-off, it was a day that felt truly personal and unforgettable.
