Tucked away in Pennyroyal Valley, King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre is a deeply peaceful destination wedding venue offering exclusive use of the entire property for your celebration. Set across 196 acres of pristine Otway bushland, the venue combines open skies, ancient forest and sweeping valley views with thoughtfully designed, modern comforts.
Couples have the freedom to shape a wedding that feels relaxed, personal and unhurried, with your ceremony, reception and accommodation all taking place on one private, connected site.
Capacity and reception spaces
The reception hall hosts up to 80 guests for a seated, formal wedding reception. For cocktail style celebrations, the space allows for a more flexible capacity.
For larger weddings of up to 120 guests, couples may choose to hire a marquee, creating a covered reception space while still feeling immersed in the surrounding landscape.
Ceremony spaces
King Parrot offers intimate, nature-rich ceremony locations across the property, each with its own atmosphere and sense of place. Couples are warmly encouraged to visit the venue in person to experience the land, walk the ceremony locations, and feel which space best reflects their vision.
Exclusive use and minimum stay
All weddings at King Parrot require exclusive use of the property for a minimum of two nights. This allows couples and their guests to truly settle in, connect, and enjoy a relaxed wedding experience without time pressure.
Accommodation
On site accommodation includes six self-contained cottages along with rainforest campground facilities, allowing up to 54 guests to stay on the property. For additional guests, there are a range of accommodation options available nearby in the Otways and surrounding region.

Nic and Ryan were incredible hosts and all our guests had the most epic weekend staying in the beautiful KP.
