It has a variety of gorgeous ceremony locations, two reception halls and several accommodation packages to serve different budgets, making it a popular destination wedding venue in the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales.
The capacity of Kianinny Bush Cottages for a weekend wedding is 150 guests, so you can celebrate your love from Friday afternoon to Monday morning with charming private cottages and modern facilities.
Facilities at Kianinny
Kianinny offers two venues for reception:
- Bush Pavilion: Capacity: 120 seated or 150 standing guests; features fairy lights and semi-enclosed setup, includes heaters for year-round wedding receptions
- Lakeside Pavilion: Capacity: 80 seated or 100 standing guests; Overlooks the lake and features a cozy atmosphere
The accommodation facilities include 21 private cottages with an additional 3 lodges. Kianinny Bush Cottages offers special prices for wedding guests and group booking discounts (subject to availability).
Other on-site facilities include modern kitchens for rent by third-party caterers and bar hire.
You can exchange vows in several locations:
- Lakeside: Peaceful site with a tranquil lake and close to the Lakeside Pavilion
- Bushland: Location under the mature gum trees, close to Bush Pavilion
- Beach: Tathra coastline is close to the venue and suitable for the ceremony
Kianinny Bush Cottages provides up to 30 ceremony chairs, tables and tablecloths. Whatever location you choose, your wedding photos will be magnificent considering the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.

When you make the decision to have your wedding at Kianinny Bush Cottages, you are choosing to hire out our whole site. This includes the hire of one or both pavilions, as well as our 21 two bedroom cottages and 3 lodges. We have the ability to sleep 150 guests and as a part of the package you and your guests receive 3 nights accommodation for the price of 2.
$450 per Superior Cottage, $400 per Standard Cottage - price based on 2 Adults. Minimum cost: $9250
Additional guests - $30 per adult, $20 per child, per night.
We have 2 commercial kitchens that can be hired for private catering from $600 each.
Bar Hire (optional) - Includes ice, fridges and RSA-certified team members for a 5-hour service. $2000 for 100 people + $750 for a second bar location (includes extra 1 hour service) Bride & Groom must supply beer, wine & cider only for this service. (No spirits or cocktails)
Ensuring safety and peace of mind for your special day, we make it a priority to provide security services during the evening of your wedding. This is a requirement of all bookings to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

In the event we decided to buy a property here and used Kianinny as an excellent base to facilitate the house purchase. Overall, it is charming, peaceful and magnificent location to spend some time here. We were very well looked after by Andrew and Che, and Fiona and the other staff members. It is really a hidden gem of place nestled in the bush not far away from Tathra, which has fantastic beaches and a great pub.
