The Venus Room: Perfect for mid-sized weddings with 100 to 220 guests, this room offers stylish interiors, a parquetry dance floor, a staging area, and a fully serviced bar to keep the celebration flowing.

Sad and dissappointingSad and dissappointing
I really tried but I just cant write a good review. I hate to do this but need to share this so that others know what goes on behind the scenes. My partner and I attended with my future in laws a meet and greet and inspection of Grandstar some time ago. At first it seemed to tick all the boxes physically but being in but being a business owner I asked the relevant questions and did a quick compare to other venues there and then. Its then I started to see the cracks. Starting with the fact that we were looking at booking our event for 2026. The owner, who lied about not being the owner for some reason, told us all that there will be a 10% increase in price due to cost of living. Immediately that raised a red flag but gave the benefit of the doubt to the venue. I was also told that the GST would be waived if we paid by cash. Again, being a business owner this is absolute nonsense. And lets not mention how rude it is to speak another language in front of someone else, absolute disregard. There were other red flags we noticed, too many to mention. We then brought up these red flags to other venues when we inspected theirs and they simply said it is all absolute rubbish. Lastly, my partner and I contacted the venue via phone the following week and spoke to a young man who was the Sales Manager who instilled a little bit of faith in Grandstar with his honesty. He cleared it up stating that there is no such thing as the 10% rubbish and no business is in the business of waiving the GST. He also cleared up other things as well. That was THE only interaction on a positive level we had with Grandstar. Be careful people, its your money, your event, your memories that this place is playing with.
