FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Some weddings sparkle because of the weather, the flowers, the dress – but the best ones sparkle because of the feeling. One of our favourites was a heartfelt celebration where guests stayed on the property all weekend, sharing bonfires, farm walks, and laughter under the stars. It wasn’t just a wedding day; it was a wedding experience.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Trust your suppliers, trust your instincts, and most importantly – trust that the little things that don’t go to plan are often the moments you’ll treasure the most.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We once had a couple handwrite a letter to each of their guests, placed at their seat for dinner. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room — it turned a big celebration into something deeply personal and unforgettable.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Timeless, enchanting, historic, romantic, welcoming.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

We honestly couldn’t choose just one! Between the grand old trees, the rambling English gardens, and the sunlit farm paddocks edged with hawthorn, every part of the estate is ready for its close-up.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Discretion is one of our specialties. If any famous faces have visited, their secret is safe with us.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Something that celebrates local flavours — like Tasmanian smoked salmon on a crisp crostini or a little lamb tartlet, made even better with a glass of bubbles in hand.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Something sweet, something salty, and something you can eat with one hand while dancing with the other.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Where else can you have your ceremony under ancient oaks, your reception in a convict-built barn, and sheep as your curious (but very well-behaved) neighbours?

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We’re proudest when couples tell us they felt completely at home. Brickendon has always been a place built on family, and there’s nothing more special than seeing new stories begin here.
