Inverell historic wedding venue, Blair Athol Homestead organises intimate and luxury celebrations. The on-site facilities, such as lavish gardens, spa and deluxe suites and friendly team leave a lasting impression on your guests.
The venue has six bedrooms, 54 acres of grounds and a day spa with a mineral-rich pool and sauna.
The manor house is a Federation-style building with two options:
- A traditional bed and breakfast
- A full-house buyout with self-catering.
The full buyout is suitable for weddings and requires a minimum of a two-night stay at three bedrooms. Such booking grants the private use of the entire house, including the drawing, parlour room and dining area.
Additional facilities on the ground house include a coach house and a tiny house. If you book the entire venue, less than 20 people can stay overnight.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The Blair Athol grounds are stunning with perfectly manicured formal gardens, a kitchen garden, an ironstone cemetery and outbuildings – Gardeners Cottage, Stables and other facilities that support the Estate.
Several charming locations are suitable for your intimate wedding ceremony and gorgeous photo backgrounds. An abundance of plants and trees, such as Moreton Bay Figs and Lemon-scented gums, contribute to the idyllic setting for your ceremony.

Kim was so accomodating and welcoming. Aromatic, still-warm chocolate cookies in the afternoon are to savour on the upstairs balcony or down in the beautifully maintained parlours. The wonderful cooked breakfast before our next drive kept us going all day. Have booked a return for my birthday :)Stayed over night in the Emerald Room, loved every minute of our stay at Blair Athol. Kim was so accomodating and welcoming. It was the perfect location for a girls weekend away with a friend, where we enjoyed time at the day spa with massages followed by an impressive platter and wine, a gorgeous room inside the homestead, and a delicious hot breakfast cooked by Kim, who is very attentive to her guests. It was also so relaxing to take a walk around the beautiful gardens of the estate. I hope to visit again one day. Stayed for one night in the Sapphire suite, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Kim is a wonderful host, super friendly and welcoming. Kim was always there when you need her but also gives you lots of privacy to enjoy your stay. We also had an afternoon at the spa and loved it! Such a great place to come and escape for a weekend.
