It’s such a beautiful setting and made the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. The house is surrounded by a stunning garden and there’s a great pub in the village, perfect for our guests to have lunch before the service. The whole set up was ideal! Jess is amazing! She’s absolutely lovely, very efficient and incredibly organised. She helped coordinate the day and made everything feel so calm and easy. What is included in the venue hire?
Exclusive use of Woodhayne Barton’s outdoor spaces: the south-facing front lawn for your reception and/or outdoor blessing, the home field for your marquee, the two-acre field for parking and camping, and the secluded old garden for more intimate moments. You will also have access to a dedicated wedding coordinator in the lead-up to your day. They will be on hand to answer venue-related questions, recommend trusted local suppliers, and help coordinate logistics such as supplier access and deliveries.
As a dry-hire venue, you have the freedom to choose your own suppliers and design every element of your wedding to suit your vision.
Can we legally get married on-site?
Woodhayne Barton does not hold a licence for legal wedding ceremonies. However, couples can choose to hold a meaningful outdoor blessing here on the farm, with a range of beautiful settings including the old garden, front lawn, or a secluded spot within the fields.
For those wishing to legally marry, the village church is less than a ten-minute walk away, offering a traditional and picturesque option before returning to the farm to continue the celebrations.
What is the maximum number of guests?
Woodhayne Barton is a flexible venue that can comfortably accommodate both large and smaller weddings. We have hosted intimate celebrations of around 30 guests, as well as larger weddings of up to 200. The layout of the grounds allows you to scale your day to suit your plans, whether you’re envisioning something relaxed and low-key or a bigger grand celebration.
Do you provide a marquee or do we hire our own?
We do not provide a full-sized marquee as standard, and most couples choose to work with their own supplier to create a structure that best suits their guest numbers and style. However, for smaller weddings of around 30 guests, we do have two smaller marquees available to hire on-site if preferred.
For larger celebrations, we are happy to recommend trusted local marquee suppliers who are familiar with the venue and can advise on the most suitable setup for your plans.
Is there parking on-site?
Yes, there is ample parking space provided for up to 200 guests.
Is there accommodation on-site?
We do not offer indoor accommodation on-site. However, we do provide the option of on-site camping, allowing guests to stay close to the celebrations and enjoy the full countryside experience.
Do you offer full wedding planning?
As part of our basic hire package, we provide all couples with the support of a dedicated wedding coordinator. In the lead-up to your wedding, they act as your main point of contact for all venue-related queries, offering guidance on logistics, supplier recommendations, and coordination of access, deliveries, and setup to ensure everything is in place for your day.
For couples who would like additional support, we also offer the option to upgrade to a full wedding planning service. This provides a more comprehensive level of involvement, including assistance with sourcing and managing suppliers, detailed planning of timelines and logistics, and on-the-day coordination to ensure your celebration runs seamlessly from start to finish.
