At Windermere Jetty Museum, we’re delighted to offer a truly unique venue in the heart of the Lake District for intimate weddings. Whether you’re looking to simply hire our event rooms or wish to personalise your own wedding package, we’re here to make it special. As a small team, we’re dedicated to creating lasting memories for you and your guests, treating you like part of the family every step of the way. Windermere Jetty Museum is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies and these can take place in our wet dock, event space, café, exhibition galleries and fire station. If you choose to hold your ceremony with us, we would first ask that you check that the registrar has availability. The registrars are based in Kendal, their contact number is 0300 303 2472 and they can be contacted Monday – Friday from 9am – 4.30pm. Please note that our packages do not include the cost of the registrar, celebrant, or marriage license. This is only a suggestion and to give a flavour of the type of thing we an offer at Windermere Jetty Museum… A room for the Registrar to interview the bride & groom to prior to the ceremony Wedding ceremony in either our wet dock, event space, café, exhibition galleries and fire station Opportunity for photos around the site with stunning lake views A champagne and canape reception in our event space Boats trips on our heritage boat Outside space Ready to start planning? Our packages are designed with you in mind, from an intimate ‘Just us’ wedding for up to 12 guests to full exclusive use of the site for up to 70 of your family and friends. Whatever your vision, we’ll help you create a day that’s as special and unique as your love story. • From £850 will allow the couples to hold a ceremony in one of our spaces, luxury seasonal picnic and heritage boat trip on Windermere. Please note this price is for the couple only and the museum will remain open to the public. External catering would be an additional cost. • £13000 would give the couple exclusive use of Windermere Jetty Museum and ground for the day. This prices excludes food and drink.

Honestly the place is stunning.

I am so glad that Windermere Jetty Museum decided to offer small weddings. When I first discovered this gorgeous building in 2019 I Immediately saw the potential for weddings. So, in lockdown when we could have 6 people together I organised a styled shoot there. The modern clean lines and beautiful natural light just gave me all the feels. I was completely blown away...

When Helen & Steve enquired with me, I didn’t even know that the Windermere Jetty Museum existed, never mind that you could get married there… Needless to say, after a quick Google I was quite excited at the prospect of a visit and on the day I was completely blown away – what a space for a wedding! We’re so lucky to have so many incredible venues here in Cumbria but the museum really is a brilliant venue for couples choosing an elopement or small wedding...
