Description

For wedding celebrations Silverholme Manor is for hire any day of the week for a 3 night package; giving you the choice between weekend or mid-week packages. Silverholme is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies in the Coach House, Drawing Room, Dining Room, as well as outside on the lawns that sweep down to and overlook Lake Windermere. The Coach House is a beautiful stone building that is flooded with natural light and has capacity for up to 100 seated guests for the ceremony. As well as civil ceremonies, you may opt for a humanist ceremony or for those of you who would prefer a church ceremony, there are beautiful lakeland churches near by. Silverholme sleeps 18 in total in 8 bedrooms in the Manor house itself and a further bedroom in the romantic Coachman's Cottage in the grounds (and adjacent to the Manor house itself). There are a further 39 holiday cottages on the 5,000 acre Graythwaite estate, which serve as optional accommodation for your remaining guests. Two of these, Low Graythwaite Hall and Hullet Hall are within walking distance of Silverholme. We have Graythwaite Adventure on the estate, who can arrange for all sorts of fun activities for your guests from 4x4 off road driving to axe throwing, paddle boarding and clay pigeon shooting. We are here to make your stay that little bit more fantastic! A marquee or tipi (not included) can be sited on the purpose built astro turf next to the house (the astro turf means there is no chance of any mud come rain or shine) or down in the bottom field by the lake. Our state-of-the-art speakers are included in our wedding package so there is no need to hire a pa system. We can be as involved or uninvolved as you desire. Our only requirement is that you use one of our approved suppliers for your catering and marquee/tipi. We have handpicked them ourselves, as we know their products and services match the outstanding level of quality Silverholme Manor prides itself on.

The above prices all offer a minimum three night stay. This way we believe you can truly relax in the run up to, during, and after your big day. With 13 cottages sleeping approximately 80 in total all under 0.25miles from Silverholme, your guests don't have to miss out on any of the action either. All wedding clients will receive a complimentary 10% discount for any of their guests booking a holiday cottage at Graythwaite for their wedding weekend. Total exclusivity to Silverholme and its grounds, for a three night wedding celebration stay, including access to the Graythwaite Estate facilities (heated indoor pool, on-site farm shop and 5,000 acres to make your own) Marquee or Tipi hire is required for parties of more than 50, please contact our approved suppliers for prices.

Wow, where do I even start. This was the venue of our dreams. From the moment we swooped around the beautiful driveway and saw Silverholme in all its glory, we fell inlove. Vanessa and the team at Silverholme could not have been more helpful and accommodating every step of the way. There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are to everyone at Silverholme and how lucky we feel to have been able to have the most special day of our lives at such a magical venue! We absolutely loved our wedding at Silverholme. It was so lovely to have our family stay with us in the manor and to have three days to celebrate - the rooms are stunning, the communal spaces are perfectly sized and as a musical family, we loved having the piano in the hallway. Silverholme is great because you can curate your exact wedding vision as everything is hired in externally. We hired the stretch tent from Silverholme and the team who set everything up were brilliant and there from 7am to ensure everything was perfect for us. Vanessa and the team were brilliant and so helpful - nothing was too much trouble and we loved the extra details - the robes for all of our guests, the welcome pack etc. The Manor itself is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding area is like something out of a film. Would HIGHLY recommend.We absolutely loved our wedding at Silverholme. Silverholme was the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. It was so fun to have a gathering place to host our closest family and friends for the weekend. Silverholme If you’re looking for the perfect venue for your dream weekend then Silverholme is the one for you. Every single one of our guests referenced how spectacular the venue was with stunning views in an idyllic setting. The house works perfectly across a long weekend with amazing facilities as well as great access down to the lake. We loved every element of the location with cottages available nearby for guests, water sport equipment available to rent & loads of local hotels & Airbnb's to accommodate whatever suited our guests. Despite the fact that Silverholme is clearly one of the most incredible venues in the country, it was Vanessa (the venue’s host) who was the star of the show. Vanessa was absolute brilliant to work with throughout the whole process and couldn’t do enough for us in support with our preparation. She went above and beyond our expectation and our only disappointment was that she didn’t stay for the full wedding weekend as she was so much fun. Vanessa & her maintenance team helped so much with our prep, we simply couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you so much to Silverholme & to Vanessa for providing the weekend of our dreams. I have had the pleasure of working on this epic site a few times and each time doesn't disappoint! The team are super helpful and fun to be around and the place is just so wonderfully styled. Each client has a great time and loves the freedom of roaming this spectacular place on such an important celebration. We have a tremendous wedding at Silverholme! We stayed for a full week with our closest friends walking in the local hills, flinging ourselves into the lake, having opulent meals in the enormous dining room and enjoying the beautiful rooms and grounds. The venue was completely perfect for a wedding, with ample space of our marquee, a beautiful coach house for the ceremony, and plenty of space in the house to hosts guests. The lawn is beautiful for the guests to enjoy drinks on and they were able to dash for cover when the occasional shower arrived. There was also ample room for a kitchen to be set up next to marquee. We had a magical day in a beautiful location where the staff at Silverholme were extremely helpful in getting everything set up. Why we picked the stunning venue, Silverholme… There were several factors that influenced our decision. Firstly, we wanted a venue that offered a picturesque view of the lake. It was important to us that our guests could enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Lakes. We desired a unique and exclusive experience for everyone involved. Silverholme provided us with the opportunity to have the venue exclusively for the entire weekend, allowing our immediate family and bridal party to stay on-site. Another reason we chose Silverholme was the flexibility it offered. We wanted to have the freedom to design the day exactly as we envisioned it. The venue allowed us to personalise every aspect of our celebration. Silverholme's natural beauty was simply breathtaking. Waking up with a cup of coffee and gazing at the lake from the house was a truly magical experience. Lastly, the Silverholme team are amazing, Vanessa in particular is extremely organised, professional and honest which is all you can wish for when planning your wedding. Vanessa ensured that everything was dealt with from the moment we booked until the day we departed - thank you so much! Wow wow wow!!! We had a magnificent weekend celebrating our wedding at Silverholme Manor for 150 guests. We used every inch of the stunning venue and really made the most of the panoramic views of the lake and the estate. The bedrooms are gorgeous and the living spaces feel like a stately home, we really felt like king and queen for the weekend! We loved the fact we could take over the property for the weekend and have complete control and freedom. It was made even better by the fact there’s no charge for corkage which is very rare for a wedding venue. Vanessa and her team could not have been more helpful and she went out of her way to make us feel special. We can’t wait to come back to Graythwaite for our anniversary in years to come and we will always look back on our wedding day with a massive grin!! Thank you!Wow wow wow!!! We cannot recommend Silverholme Manor and the surrounding properties enough, they were absolutely perfect and in one of the most amazing settings in the UK. The beauty of the Manor with modern day comforts were absolutely perfect for our week long celebrations. I absolutely loved being lady of the manor albeit for 5 days and Eric certainly settled in well to being Lord!! The stunning views, along with the peace and tranquility of the location, the beautiful wildlife all made our wedding truly special and memorable for us and all of our guests. All of whom could not praise it enough, from the comfort of the big beautiful rooms with amazing views and beds that they slept well in, to the little luxuries such as the soaps and handwashes (they truly smelt amazing) , bathrobes (the kids wanted to take them home!) and all the kitchen facilities and comfortable lounges that made it a truly special week. Vanessa you were amazing, our guests didn't get to see the hardwork you put into things for us, that is testament to how seamless everything was. Thank you for greeting us on arrival, for the welcome hampers and wines (lovely touch, very personal) to helping on the wedding day, helping me with my dress, and getting me unstuck! We really appreciated everything you did, the changes you have made to the property have only enhanced it and the Graythwaite Estate is truly lucky to have you. Silverholme is the most magnificent place to get married in the Lake District. You will be able to see for your self the interior and exterior beauty of the place. But that is not all that makes it special. 1. There are very few, if any, places in the Lake District where you can combine a lakeside setting with enough accommodation for lots of guests. The Graythwaite estate of which Silverholme is a part has enough cottages within walking distance not to make travel between accommodation and venue ok. 2. The team were fantastic throughout and were incredibly helpful in making our vision for the event come true, whether it was a mountain top paella or turning the coach house in to a night club. 3.There is a great network of suppliers who are adept at navigating the idiosyncrasies of the location. We used Karen Rhodes, Little Barn Bar, Smoke and Steel and Original Marquees and would recommend them all. 4. You can bring your own booze! Finally a huge shout out to Vanessa who was instrumental in pulling things together. Silverholme is the most magnificent place to get married in the Lake District.
