Overlooking picturesque scenery, and set in 100 acres, our exclusive, family run, licensed Wedding Barn will immerse your guests in the charm and character of Cumbria’s enchanting Upper Eden Valley.

To tell you a little history on Eden Barn, our daughter asked us if she could hold her Wedding Reception in the Barn in June 2015. We lovingly restored it for our family wedding and now welcome you and your family.

Our traditional 200 year old Westmorland stone barn, draped in twinkling fairy lights, is the most enchanting and unique place to be married. This beautiful building is packed with rustic charm from the giant chandeliers to the exposed stone walls, limestone flagged floor and vaulted ceiling. Outside there are expansive views of the Pennine hills, which you can enjoy from our landscaped outdoor areas, as well as the undercover terrace. Perfect for taking in golden hour, and watching the sun go down over the fields. In addition there are two licensed outdoor areas to be choose to be married; the outdoor handcrafted pavilion, or our meadow by the stream.

We are a small, family run business who believe that weddings should be fun, relaxed, enjoyable to arrange and personal to you. With 10 years of experience planning and hosting weddings, you are in safe hands!

Our couples have exclusive use of Eden Barn and its secluded setting, during which we will be on hand to support you from planning through to on the day co-ordination and de-set.

We welcome you to stay in our newly opened The Wilding Hotel located down the road from the barn. Rooms will be reserved for yourselves and your guests. Perfect for pre wedding meet up and post wedding de-briefs too. Our exciting project of on-site lodges are underway and will be ready for guests from 2027 onwards.

Hello, let me tell you the story .... Eden Barn started when the Barn on our farm was restored for the wedding of our eldest daughter Andrea in 2015. The day was magical and, through couple requests, we opened our doors so you could enjoy your own Wedding at Eden Barn. My wife Carolyn and daughters Andrea and Julia, would love to meet your show you around either virtually or in person!

Wow where do we start. From the moment we walked into Eden Barn we immediately knew it was our venue. The Harker Family made us feel so welcome and calm and we knew they would be the best people to handle our special day. Throughout the whole process, they were always there for us. From the moment we visited Eden Barn and met the lovely Carolyn, we knew it was the one. Carolyn and her family, who own and run the venue together, made us feel completely at ease from the start. Their warmth, experience and confidence reassured us that our wedding day would be everything we dreamed of, and it truly was. Eden Barn is breathtaking. The barn itself is full of charm with soft fairy lights, a beautiful bar and a stylish lounge area. The grounds are stunning and we even had our own private bride and groom lounge, which was such a lovely quiet space to escape to during the day. The food was absolutely amazing, recommended by Eden Barn, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to the Harker family’s care and attention to detail. I had been so stressed in the run up to the day, but once it began I realised I had nothing to worry about. They had thought of absolutely everything, even small details I had forgotten. Throughout the day they felt like part of our family, so caring, thoughtful and genuinely invested in making our wedding perfect, Cive and Andrea even reassured me that everything was going to be ok when I was just about to walk down the aisle as I was a nervous reck. Where to begin! I can not thank the whole Eden Barn team enough for making mine and Iain's wedding day so special. From start to finish they were so supportive, accommodating, friendly and are just the nicest people. They made the planning process a breeze and nothing felt like too much. I definitely felt at times I was asking too many questions / sending too many emails, but the team never made me feel that way and always responded promptly. I'll never forget waiting to walk down the aisle and seeing the whole team there with wide supportive smiles. The experience felt so personal and we really appreciated the close family touch. The venue was gorgeous too, even better than I remembered. Everything ran like clockwork and the food was great. Also, there was a minor mishap (groom's fault ;)) at the end of the night and Cliff and Carolyn were so helpful and accommodating! Thank you again!! Wow. We owe huge, massive, enormous thanks to everyone at Eden Barn for all of their hard work in the months running up to and the day of our April wedding. We absolutely loved every single moment of the day and that was all thanks to the Harkers’ and Southcott’s amazing organisation and calm manner with us. Every single thing was exceptional and ran so smoothly which meant we could completely relax and enjoy the celebrations. So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful venue it was and how much they enjoyed their sharing platters and the exceptional sticky toffee pudding! Thanks for letting us have a riotous day we will simply never forget! Eden Barn is absolutely stunning, we knew from the moment we seen it was OUR wedding venue. As soon as we visited Eden Barn, we instantly fell in love. The venue is carefully designed with everything you need in mind. From a beautiful bridal suite to get ready, to breathtaking backdrops for your photo’s - you couldn’t ask for more. To top things off, Cliff, Carolyn & the family couldn’t have been more helpful. From showing us round and walking us through each stage of the wedding, to always being on the end of the phone for queries and questions. They made our day so special and we are so grateful. Nothing was too much trouble & it was all that we imagined and more. I couldn’t recommend Eden Barn as a wedding venue enough.As soon as we visited Eden Barn, we instantly fell in love. Our postcode is Eden Barn, CA17 4PQ. From the M6, take Junction 38 (Tebay) at the roundabout follow signs to Kirkby Stephen. Drive through Kirkby Stephen and follow the signs to Little Musgrave. We are the last property on the left. If you are travelling from the A1/A66 take the Brough junction (look for the castle ruins). Turn right and head through Brough and follow the signs to Great Musgrave & Little Musgrave.
