Weddings at Shuttleworth

From start to finish our wedding was seamless! Georgia is absolutely amazing, she is an asset to shuttleworth. No request is too much and her attention to detail is something else. The house and grounds have made amazing photographs! If you are looking for a stately home venue, this is the best around.

Georgia and the team at shuttleworth were outstanding! They made us feel so special on our wedding day. The surroundings are incredible, and we were honored to be married at such at beautiful place. Highly recommend!!!!!

Our wedding in the Swiss gardens at shuttleworth was absolutely perfect. We already wanted to have an intimate private ceremony and the Swiss Cottage was perfect. The attention to detail in the gardens was wonderful and the staff are absolutely brilliant! We could not have asked for a more perfect day!

Our ceremony in the Swiss Cottage at Shuttleworth was so perfect. The team at Shuttleworth are fantastic, we were given plenty of opportunities to visit the venue in the run up and Georgia every detail was organised and confirmed to make our day carefree and perfect. The gardens are absolutely stunning for photos and the staff are all so lovely. Would definitely recommend Shuttleworth as a venue.

We were told by Shuttleworth c.2months before our wedding that they had accepted a corporate booking on the same day/time as our wedding, for c.4000 people with a ferris wheel, fairground rides, live music, a PA system, food trucks etc. This huge event would be situated next to the main house that we had booked exclusively for our wedding. Their contract terms and language around exclusivity mean this is technically possible (despite promising otherwise when we booked). Our expectation of being able to hear our own guests speak during the drinks reception or being able to have a videographer record our wedding with sound would not have been possible with the close proximity and noise from the adjacent event. We found Shuttleworth's decision to agree to another booking that would detrimentally impact our wedding appalling. Georgia the Wedding Manager did not even apologise once. Whilst the venue itself is of course picturesque, the team asserted that it is normal for them to have weddings alongside other events disturbing each other in parallel. For a once in a lifetime event like a wedding, we found this hard to accept and we were thus forced to cancel. We could not recommend this venue given this is what Shuttleworth considers to be standard event management practice for them. I would not wish on any couple what they did to us, and hope no one else's wedding at such short notice becomes collateral damage to a corporate booking , like ours.

Georgia French and her team ensured that my wife and I had the most amazing day of our life. Everything was thoroughly planned and delivered exactly as we envisaged. Georgia was very kind and accommodating of our requests and the venue was nothing short of magnificent. The team was also very helpful and supportive the day before the wedding and the day after, which allowed me and my family to enjoy our stay at the House. We’ve visited several castles and venues with historic beauty to choose our wedding venue, and I can honestly say that hardly any would offer you what the Shuttleworth House and the team running have.

From the moment we booked Shuttleworth as our wedding venue, Georgia and all the team were so incredibly helpful. Having the whole house for our venue was amazing and enabled us to zone the different areas of the house. Shuttleworth is beautiful on the inside and outside and when rain was forecast for our ceremony, having the ceremony indoors was just as Romantic. We had our wedding breakfast in the saloon which is breathtaking and many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. It seems to be a hidden gem as most venue's you only get one or two rooms. We had an incredible day and cannot wait to see our official photos! If you're thinking of considering Shuttleworth for your special day, we would highly recommend!

Our wedding was in April & we had the best day! The venue was perfect. The building is impressive, beautiful & not too big it feels empty. We decided to have our reception on the lawn which was amazing & then we had the downstairs rooms for our meal & party! Georgia helped to organise the wedding and was very informative and helpful. She could answer any questions we had. The only downer was she was only around for part of the day!! Our guests had a great time and we had so many compliments about the venue. Thank you team Shuttleworth!

Our wedding at shuttleworth was absolutely perfect! The team were so accomodating and would always go above and beyond to make our day perfect. We regularly revisit shuttleworth to relive the day in the stunning grounds. I couldnt have asked for a more perfect, magical day.
