Situated on the southern slopes of the magnificent Mendip Hills, our stunning Edwardian manor house has been extensively developed over the years to accommodate a vast array of luxurious facilities, including a spacious swimming pool, sauna and a variety of treatment rooms.
The hotel comprises of 58 ensuite bedrooms, 9 function rooms of various capacities and 300 complimentary parking spaces, complete with a first-rate bar and restaurant with free Wi-Fi throughout the building. We have a variety of packages to suit all tastes and budgets, and our dedicated weddings team will be there every step of the way to ensure your plans go off without a hitch.

Included in our Dry Hire Package is exclusive use of our Mendip Suite which can seat up to 600 guests, 30 round tables and 300 chairs, in additional to white linens. We also include use of our Garden Suite for your caterers to prepare and serve your food from.

Everything was thought about so careful and executed to exactly how we wanted. We loved every minute and would have not changed anything. The venue is gorgeous, very spacious and a blank canvas for you to tailor. If we weren’t already set on the venue, Webbington’s in-house coordinator is the icing on the cake. Georgina was an angel from the first day we met - nothing was too much work and every worry raised was quashed within seconds. We feel so blessed to have had our special day at such a lovely venue. If I have to choose something that could be improved/should be considered, the venue didn’t seem to have AC so our (very hot) summer wedding was a bit sticky!We loved every second of planning our wedding with Webbington! Throughout all the planning and preparation stages everything was always discussed in detail to make sure it would all be perfect on the day. No question was ever to minor and was always promptly responded to. All the suppliers used within the wedding package were amazing. Sharing the same attention to detail and perfection as Georgina. The night stay prior to the wedding was just what I needed, food preordered and a table with my bridal party before the big day to calm the nerves. This was all sorted by Georgina too! A few drinks on the terrace before we went up to bed, was just the ticket. Breakfast was ordered to the bridal suite the morning of the wedding with no problems. The day went amazingly.. every decoration, every detail and everytime slot was to perfection. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and all the comments we received from our guests on how brilliant everything was rounded all the hard work off. Anyone planning a wedding I would 100% recommend the webbington. From the spa and swimming to the amazing food and staff it was the perfect day from start to finish. Georgina was amazing from the get go, helping us every step of the way to plan our special day. The day went smoothly without any issues and everything was perfectly planned. Every single member of staff was helpful, kind, and professional and I’m sorry I can’t remember all of their names but they were all brilliant. They ensured we were happy throughout the day and communicated with us just enough to make sure we were happy but not too much that we were overwhelmed or pulled away from our guests. The grounds have some great spots for pictures too. The one issue that did arise (through no fault of theirs) was sorted out straight away. We had a slight issue when we ordered our cake and it was too big for our cake stand so just thought we’d display it on the cake board it came with but Georgina was one step ahead of us as usual, and organised a way better display and it looked lovely. As well as the day going smooth you and your guests can stay at the hotel which in itself is a great experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next day was lovely to continue the celebrations and see everyone from the wedding who stayed over too. 10/10 would recommend this place to get married, I’d not have changed a thing. The staff were very attentive my wedding organiser was second to none (she even got me in my dress, so i could do a reveal for my bridesmaids and mum). Being able to stay the night before took alot of stress off of myself and wedding party. Very well organised and the wedding planner was also happy to answer questions. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It's hard to narrow it down to just one day as each couple share so much joy with us. For me personally it would be the first wedding I coordinated at The Webbington, S & C were so laid back and lovely, the sun was shining and after postponements the whole wedding party were so excited and amazing to work with.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When you start to plan your wedding, sit down to discuss your 'non-negotiables' - the parts of your wedding which make it your dream wedding. Whether this be live music, outdoor ceremony, or a particular menu, as this will need to be prioritised when budgeting.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A & L paid homage to the Bride's late father by choosing to have a shot of spiced rum (his favourite) as their toast drink. There was not a dry eye in the room. Including myself!

On our Terrace which boasts a sweeping backdrop of the stunning Mendip Hills at sunset!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Many moons ago, The Webbington was Somerset's brightest nightlife venue hosting Freddie Starr, Bob Monkhouse, PJ Proby, The Drifters, The Rocking Berries, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Acker Bilk, Tommy Cooper, Gene Pitney and Jane Mansfield to name but a few.
What’s your favourite canapé?
My personal favourite is the Rosemary and Goats Cheese Drop Scones.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Chorizo & Halloumi Skewers from our BBQ Buffet menu.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have on-site Spa and Leisure facilities for complimentary use to all staying guests throughout their stay; including a gym, swimming pool, steam room and sauna! Why not also book in for with our beauty therapist for a treatment?!
