FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Honestly, the ones that stand out most are the couples who really made the space their own — as you can bring in your own suppliers, décor and traditions and then transform the Hall completely. We've had a couple who turned the Civic Hall into what looked like a completely different building — full drape ceiling, their own lighting rig, long banquet tables instead of rounds! We love that every wedding here looks totally different!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose a venue that gives you freedom, not just a package. A dry hire space means you're not boxed into someone else's idea of a wedding — you can bring in the caterers, stylists and traditions that actually mean something to you.

Also visit in person before you decide anything. Photos never quite capture how the light comes through those windows, or how the space actually feels once you're standing in it!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

A groom who built his own bar from scratch and had it delivered in pieces the morning of. Nothing fazes us at this point!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Grand, blank-canvas, adaptable, historic, yours

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The entrance itself feels like an occasion — a sweeping staircase, natural light pouring in, and 1930s chandeliers overhead as you make your way up!

What can couples customise about the space?

Almost everything! Layout, lighting, furniture, room configuration — the Civic and Banquet Halls can be split with our built-in screens or opened depending on what you need.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Being able to host such a genuine mix of cultures and traditions under one roof — and knowing that every booking helps support Enable, the charity behind our venues, reinvesting back into the local community. It's a lovely feeling for couples to know their day is helping communities as well!
