Walcot Hall is a Georgian country house steeped in character and history. The building alone makes for one of the most unusual wedding venues in Shropshire, however Walcot Hall is also a family home. Its business is not exclusively weddings, however it is no surprise that it ranks as one of Shropshire’s top wedding reception venues. The Hall may be a grand historic house but it’s certainly not imposing. We guarantee you will love the eclectic furnishings and rustic romance of the rambling estate, and the masses of curiosities will certainly get your guests talking…
We know that your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life which is why we work hard to make your time at Walcot Hall memorable, magical and above all, unique. We work alongside you through the wedding planning process and offer a friendly and relaxed approach. We want you to have the best day possible so will endeavour to turn your wedding ideas (and Pinterest boards) into reality!
We know we’re not a 5* hotel, which is why we don’t try to be! But we can promise a stay full of fun, character, surprise and intrigue for you and all of your guests. Having your wedding party with you for the whole weekend (we can accommodate up to 110 guests onsite in our holiday cottages, cabins and glamping accommodation) means you can utilise the space the estate has to offer and make the most of your time at one of Shropshire’s most unique wedding venues.

Your exclusive use wedding at Walcot Hall includes all of this...
- 48 hour exclusive hire of the Ballroom, courtyard and gardens from 10am the day before your wedding until 10am the day after
- Luxurious Honeymoon Suite for the night before and the night of your wedding
- Afternoon hire of the Main Hall as your venue entrance, ceremony location or for your drinks reception
- Optional exclusive accommodation hire, subject to availability
- Ballroom furniture, table linen and glassware for up to 120 people in the Ballroom
- A number of licensed ceremony areas to choose from
- A well-stocked pay bar with staff for the duration of your wedding day
- Firepit with logs for the evening of your wedding
- Extensive private gardens in which to host a BBQ, drinks reception, ceremony, games, live music. The options are endless!
The reason for variation in costs is due to time of year. The lower end costs of £4850 for Wednesday and the high end of £6950 is for Saturdays April - September.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don’t stress the small things! We have seen couples stress for hours over whether or not the name cards are in the perfect places and as soon as their guests are seated no-one notices them and they get thrown away! In advance you will want your day to be perfect but on the day you will not notice anything small and insignificant as you will be too busy having the best day!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There are so many it is difficult to choose.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Anywhere! We often have photographers telling us that we are one of their favourite venues because it is so easy to shoot here and find amazing photo spots! We have so many different options for people to have photos throughout our 30 acres so everyone can have unique photos if they wish, especially with the gardens changing week on week.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Many times, from record breaking boybands to legendary British actors. We have also had Bollywood films and TV shows filmed here.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini Burger with Smoked Apple Wood Cheddar & Broiche Bun
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Pizza, of course! The perfect evening snack to give you the energy to dance all night long.

The list is endless; The Ballroom, On site Accommodation & Britain's coolest Arboretum.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team! Although most of our couples only really meet either Emma or Rhea, there is a large team behind the scenes helping to make your day as special as possible. Whether its the gardening team, caretakers, maintenance team, housekeeping.
