Looking for a venue that’s as individual as you?
Victoria Hall is the perfect place for your big day.
But first of all; congratulations to you two! Thank you for thinking of us to be part of your wedding day, we’re flattered! In case you didn’t already know, Victoria Hall was built in 1871 and is a beautiful listed venue in the UNESCO World Heritage village of Saltaire, West Yorkshire. We have plenty of space outdoors and indoors, with four event rooms that are as stunning as they are versatile.
We’re not just saying it; we can do it all! Traditional, modern, vintage – all against a backdrop of our stunning venue (we won’t call it a blank canvas, we’re far from blank…)
It’s our aim to keep things exciting and stress-free for you; we’re fully licensed for weddings and civil partnerships. You have the choice between three super simple wedding packages, designed to accommodate all sizes of weddings. From dinner for 50 to party for 350 we can accommodate everyone!
Lastly, and hugely importantly, having your wedding with us helps keep our venue alive.
As a Grade II* listed building with a wonderful history in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we think Victoria Hall’s pretty special. We’re owned by a charitable trust and all our funding comes from venue hires, so while you’re saying ‘I do’, you’ll also be ensuring the future of Victoria Hall for future generations.

We only viewed Victoria Hall and booked on the spot. The hall is beautiful from the outside and is right in the heart is bustling UNESCO world heritage site of Saltaire. It has beautiful kept gardens with loads of benches on, something that was really important to us as we wanted some lovely outdoor space. The interior ceremony rooms are stunning, and some have views up into the hills around. The main hall is beyond iconic, a huge yet comfortable space with a fab stage (used ours for our band) and also a balcony which created some stunning pics. As well as the building itself Victoria Hall provide completely top notch service. The team answered all our questions, helped us plan a brilliant day and went over and above to accommodate us. They were warm, friendly and professional throughout - and made sure we truly had the best day ever. We couldn’t recommend Victoria Hall more - a stunning and memorable venue, very well priced and an absolute dream team behind the scenes. Thanks to Covid restrictions we went through multiple postponements, changes, requests and eventually brought our wedding forward with only 10 weeks' notice, but the team were so organised and helpful and took it all in their stride. They were a huge part of making the day such a success. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day possible and even helped out my husband by sewing up his trousers after he managed to split them mere minutes before the ceremony!! The building is beautiful, the lighting in there is amazing so our photos are incredible - we'd do it all again exactly the same tomorrow if we could!Becky and the team at Victoria Hall were fab throughout the whole process. After meeting with Becky back in March 2019 we were so impressed with the venue and what we would be able to achieve for our wedding. Becky was incredibly supportive throughout what turned out to be a 2 1/2 year run up. We had meetings and she guided us through everything and helped us understand what was urgent now versus nearer the time. She was an incredible support throughout and on the day! We were able to be really creative with our design for the wedding which was great and the venue were really supportive in helping us achieve the look that we wanted. When the day arrived the service was great people were always on hand in case we needed anything. The venue really was so beautiful and impressed our guests just with the buildings character and its beautiful position in saltire. We were so happy to find such a gem. The staff are so helpful especially Becky who from day one was always there by email or phone to ask all our questions. Nothing was ever too much for Becky, without her we don’t know what we would have done. The venue itself is also so beautiful, every single room is just stunning. We didn’t even need that much decor as the rooms spoke for themselves. On the day itself again the staff were extremely LG helpful and everything ran so smoothly. I honestly can’t recommend this venue enough, if I could I’d do it all over again! We got married at the end of September 2021 and this venue is just beautiful. We were so happy to find such a gem. The staff were super professional, helpful and reliable. Particularly Becky, our wedding coordinator. Our events organiser Becky was incredible. Always responsive, friendly, approachable, and creative, she completely understood what we were trying to achieve with the day, and made all of it happen with ease. The day felt relaxed, joyous and one heck of a party despite the awful weather, and the venue has so much character with or without your own decorations, it is an incredible place to celebrate a special occasion. We were able to convert all the rooms into themed spaces for our guests, with room to move freely and take time out if need be. We were able to accommodate two live acts in two separate spaces, and the local area allowed for people to get fresh air, a change of scenery and even a trip to the park at any point during the festivities. I can't thank Becky and the team enough for making a huge event incredible for us - one we will never forget. It was very affordable given the scale of it too, and we were able to put our stamp on every aspect. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Victoria Hall has been host to so many amazing and varied weddings it really is so hard to choose! We absolutely love that couples can make the space their own! As we have no restrictions on suppliers we have seen some amazing catering options (Mexican street food, a pie and mash station, delicious sharing platters), beautiful decorations (including Pirate, Vegas and Disney themed weddings!) and some incredible bands and DJs that fill the dance floor! Overall we just love when we can help bring a couples wedding vision to life!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
All of our packages come with a dedicated Wedding Coordinator who will be there to guide you through the whole planning process, which means we can offer loads of advice on how to make the day run smoothly! Our only tip is to not rely on the English weather! Fortunately, Victoria Hall has multiple beautiful rooms that can be the perfect backdrop for your big day no matter rain, shine or snow!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We think weddings are all about those little personal touches, letting who you are as a couple shine through! We have had a very artistic couple who hand drew personal portraits of each guest to act as a name card and favour! This really did put a smile on each and every guests face!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We are so lucky to be set in the amazing World Heritage site of Saltaire & many couples make the most of the beautiful village for truly unique snaps of their big day! If you want to stay within the venue Victoria Hall has so many beautiful spots for your photographer to make the most of! We have seen some amazing couples shots on the balcony overlooking the show stopper of a Main Hall. With a fabulous pastel décor & beautiful wallpaper the whole venue is a photographers dream!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We once had Terry Crews attend a wedding - in the form of a life size cardboard cut-out that moved from room to room!
What’s your favourite canapé?
We love a traditional canape, but we've also seen some amazing alternatives, ice cream vans, a crisp butty station, pizza slices and donut walls!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We will make sure to cut and present your wedding cake in portions to provide your guests with a sweet treat, but a pizza van always goes down a storm!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have so many! Being set in the beautiful World Heritage Site of Saltaire is unique enough, but we also house a Wurlitzer Organ - which you can ride up to the stage on to surprise your guests! Our venue really does have the wow factor & we love showing people around!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Here at Victoria Hall we have an amazing team that all work super hard to help each couple have exactly the day they imagine! We are also a charity and act as a community venue to provide a space for classes, support groups, craft fairs, village events and even educational trips! We love that we get to make so many special memories for people, not just on their big day but as a huge part of our local community.
