Its unique rooms, exquisite food and picturesque surroundings make The Bridge the perfect wedding venue near Leeds for your special day. It is an ideal choice if you are looking for a romantic wedding or civil ceremony venue near Leeds or York. In addition, it is only minutes from the A1 if you have your guests coming from further afield.
From the first time you contact us to the day we wave you off on your honeymoon, our friendly and highly experienced Wedding Reception Co-ordinator will assist you in selecting the menu, deciding which function room best suits your needs and choosing any entertainment you may require.
The Bridge, one of the most idyllic wedding reception venues near Leeds and York, has three stunning function suites from which you can choose, depending on the number of your guests and whether you prefer contemporary, classic or historic decor. We can provide facilities for any guests between 10 and 200.
Our stunning new Gazebo is licensed for civil marriages and civil partnerships and gives you the option of enjoying a romantic Wedding ceremony outside in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
The Bridge has its own magnificent spa, so you and your guests can relax and enjoy a complete spa experience, including top of the range beauty treatments.
From beginning to end , our Wedding Reception co-ordinator and her team will oversee every detail. Nothing is left to chance so that you and your guests can relax and enjoy your very special day.

The wedding coordinators Becky and Chloe were fantastic, professional and dealt with every detail. The waiting staff, bar staff, toast master were all just brilliant. We would not change anything about our special day. The room was decorated beautifully by the venue with their candelabras, and crystal scatters & they even put bubbles out for the children. Becky, Chloe & Marie could not of made are day any better. I was a bridesmaid and could see all the hard work the staff put in. The hotel is a beautiful setting, the room was clean and a good size! The courtyard was lovely, the sun was shining & everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves! The grounds are beautiful and kept really tidy. Our whole experience was memorable, we have even said we’d visit again for Sunday dinner with the children. Thank you! We stayed the night before and had use of there spa, the hotel room we had was clean and spacious and it was so nice to be staying at the venue we were getting married at as it just took the pressure off with having to arrange transport! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful but Becky and Chloe were unbelievable! The staff have been so helpful through the entire process and couldn’t do more for us on the day. Every one commented how lovely the food was. Such a lovely venue would 100% recommend. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Start the planning with a budget in mind and try stick to it. It's so easy to get carried away. Write a list of what's most important to you that you must have at your wedding and book those first.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We had a Bride and Groom that loved Llamas so their family surprised them with a visit from Gary and Steve the two Llamas who were beautifully dressed for the wedding.

Welcoming, fun, Historic, countryside, Elegant.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Around the back of the hotel is a beautiful spot to get a group photo. It captures the guests along with a water fountain and countryside views.
What’s your favourite canapé?
My favourite canape has to be, Filo black tiger prawns with a chilli and ginger dip.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Byron room which is used as our ceremony room. This room was painstakingly taken down from Halnaby Hall and re constructed piece by piece at the Hotel. This is the room that Lord Byron dined in on his wedding night.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
It has to be all the staff that work so hard for each and every wedding. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they will do their best to make sure that every single wedding goes to plan and that they have a memorable day.
