Trenderway is set in 200 acres of beautiful organic coastal farmland, surrounded by woodland. The heart of Trenderway is The Linhay Barn, an authentic restored 200-year-old listed Cornish stone barn, with solid oak floors and rustic whitewashed walls on two levels. The Linhay provides an idyllic venue for an authentic barn wedding, all year round and the adjoining Mowhay Barn is a lovely venue for the wedding ceremony itself.
Overlooking a backdrop of lush grassland and stunning lakes, Trenderway offers a unique and tranquil setting for your wedding. Our versatile indoor and outdoor spaces can cater for intimate gatherings or grander affairs of up to 100 seated guests for the Wedding Breakfast - and many more for the Reception. Spill out of the barn into our spacious marquee, attached to the length of the front and dressed with twinkling festoon lights to be used and decorated in any way you wish.
Such a special occasion demands an exceptional menu. Our recommended caterers can offer a fantastic selection of menu choices, so let us know what you really love when it comes to food and we will create your perfect dining experience; from formal sit-down meals to something more relaxed.

The staff we absolutely amazing, In touch all the time, meetings and help whenever I needed it. It was just perfect you guys made our dream come true. We had the best day as did all the guests. The venue is stunning and the use of the store room saved so much money as they allowed us to use their table runners, signage, tea lights, etc. I would honestly recommend Trenderway to anyone The staff at Trenderway were absolutely incredible. Cathryn and the team made everything so straightforward and run like clockwork. We opted for the three night package with catering by Divine Dining (who did us the most amazing food!). We would recommend this to anyone - it was so lovely not to rush around before the wedding and after. To make the event a little holiday for us and our guests. The venue was beautiful and there was so much flexibility with how we could decorate. We opted to get married inside and it is a good job we did, as it was a raining - however this was just an added to our special memories of the day. We wish we could relive the whole weekend all over again and if we did, we wouldn't change a thing! Thank you Trenderway for making our day so special. The venue speaks for itself with the beautiful barn, gorgeous grounds and view across the meadow but it's the team who make it no.1 in our eyes. From our initial enquiry through to two postponements and our perfect day some 28 months later nothing was too much trouble. Jacqueline was our main point of contact and all enquiries and questions were answered in a timely manner with advice and guidance offered as needed. Jacqueline was a huge support when we sadly had to postpone, whilst it always being a worrying time for her and all at Trenderway. As for our day, it was beyond perfect! All of our guests have commented on the beautiful venue and how helpful and friendly all of the staff were. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We are really lucky here at Trenderway because all of our weddings are so uniquely different. Every wedding is the best! Whether it’s the people, the food or the atmosphere of the day…. We could never pick out just one!
....If you were to twist our collective arms, the most memorable wedding was Anna & Bens 3 day Festival, featuring an outdoors Asado BBQ, trapeze act, a wedding village to accommodate guest from 5 continents and a very late Sunday Melbourne Brunch!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
This would have to be…. Enjoy it! It’s an extremely exciting time for all involved, so think about all the things that are important to you as a couple and build on them! Go crazy & have fun!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
As all of our weddings are unique to the individuals, we’ve seen some wonderful ideas! From cutting your wedding cake with an axe… to a paddling pool filled with plastic balls & inflatable guitars!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We are very lucky that, as a venue, we have over 200 acres of Organic farm land for you explore. We have 2 beautiful spring fed lakes, large industrial looking barns, our Heritage Apple Orchard (the spring blossom is awe inspiring) and we’re only a short drive away from the beautiful picturesque Talland Bay Beach.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
All of our wedding guests are celebrities in our eyes! We believe everyone should be treated like a celebrity on their wedding day, but as for Brad Pitt - I am afraid not….. YET.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Very tricky question as we have the pleasure of working with some very talented chefs, but we would have to say we’ll never turn down a board of burger sliders. YUM
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
It’s got to be a traditional Cornish pasty or wood-fired pizza
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The fact that our couples feel at home from the moment they start planning their wedding. And, of course, Our Team! We do everything within our powers to work alongside our couples to make their dreams a reality.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team & our awards. In 2020 we were double award winners at the South West Wedding
Awards. Winning in the 'Wedding Venue Country' category & then 'Wedding Venue of the Year 2020' for the whole of the South West. We were also regional winners for the best ‘Event Team’ in the Wedding Business Awards 2020. All of our awards were won thanks to our amazing couples who voted for us.
