Polhawn Fort is an incredibly beautiful venue, offering breathtaking views of the sea. Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and the location made our wedding day even more special and unforgettable. Even though we had rain on our July wedding day, the Fort’s unique charm and character still gave the day a magical atmosphere. From start to finish, the staff were exceptional—always friendly and eager to help with anything we needed. The venue itself was tastefully furnished, and we had everything we could possibly require for a perfect celebration. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. We’ll treasure our wedding day at Polhawn Fort for many years to come.

We recently had our wedding at Polhawn Fort, and we couldn’t have asked for a more magical experience. The venue itself is stunning—set on the coast with breathtaking views and beautiful gardens that made for the perfect backdrop to our special day. The decor and ambiance of the fort are equally amazing, making it a unique and memorable choice. Polhawn Fort was actually the first venue we viewed, and we booked it on the spot—it was just that perfect. One of the key reasons we chose it was the extended hire time of three days, allowing us to fully enjoy the space and spend quality time with our guests. Another major plus is the flexibility with suppliers; we weren’t tied to specific vendors, which gave us the freedom to personalise every aspect of the wedding. Of course, this meant a bit more work in selecting suppliers, but we had incredible support from Gemma, a coordinator recommended by the fort. She was a lifesaver and provided brilliant suggestions to make the process seamless. On the day, everything ran flawlessly. The staff were exceptional—professional, helpful, and so attentive. They clearly know exactly what they’re doing and ensured that every detail was perfect, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy ourselves. If you’re looking for a coastal venue with charm, flexibility, and an experienced team, Polhawn Fort is absolutely the place to go. We’ll cherish our time there forever!

I don’t even know where to start, from the first time we met James and the team at our beautiful venue, to the very last second we left, it was just the perfect wedding bliss experience. James was so helpful, he helped set everything up with us, helped bring all the heavy decorations down from the car park, (and there was a lot!!), made sure the morning ran smoothly, met the vendors, we didn’t even know they were there, yet they helped us with so much. I love how it’s a beautiful but blank canvas to make your wedding exactly how you want it, and also love that you have it for the whole weekend to carry on the party the next day - one day is definitely not enough! The beds were so comfy too, my brothers actually taken a photo of the pillows and asked for them for Christmas they were so comfortable 😂 It was so special having a dog friendly venue too, it meant our bulldog Frank could be there the whole weekend, and he especially enjoyed the private beach, where we had our photos taken - it was lovely to have a choice of different backdrops for the photos, (beach, lawn, bridge, summer house, inside the fort). I honestly couldn’t recommend this wedding venue enough, it was simply perfect and I wish we could do it all again! Thank you for making our dreams come true.

From the first communications through to the end of our stay, we couldn’t fault a thing. Polhawn Fort is a magical place to celebrate your very special day, and having family staying with us in the beautiful fort made it even more special. The fort, gardens and private beach are all beautiful and the staff were on hand throughout for anything we needed. We will always treasure our memories of the couple of days we stayed and our wonderful wedding at Polhawn Fort.

We truly had the best day of our lives. We visited Polhawn back in 2022 for the first time. We were shown around by James who was lovely, informative and friendly. We knew from the second we drove down the long, beautiful driveway that we would fall in love with the venue and fall in love we did! We knew it was the place for us, so we spoke with Polhawn via a video call to come up with a flexible payment plan which was super helpful for us. Fast-Forward nearly 2 years and the day was here! We were in regular communication regarding our plans and James was super helpful in advising us on the best uses of space. On the actual weekend of the wedding Kieran was on hand. Kieran was great and was so helpful on the day with every single part of the day. He moved furniture into the plans we had set, advised on some amendments to make the room work better for the reception and was perfect at helping the family decorate and the vendors get what they needed to do what they needed to do. The views, location and facilities speak for themselves but the team at Polhawn are what really makes this the perfect venue. Having the flexibility to pick everything we wanted is truly amazing and allowed us to make the perfect weekend. If you have the opportunity to have this venue, you absolutely should!

Its a wonderful venue and rain, wine or shine was a fantastic place to celebrate our special day. It was a wonderful place to get married and the team were all very helpful. It helped that all the recommended suppliers (which we picked from your website) knew the venue and each other very well!

Goodness me! Cannot believe what we all just achieved. What an absolute dream come true. Phil and I are still very much processing all the fun and laughter of the weekend and will send a proper thank you to you all from Polhawn for all that you did to make our wedding so perfect. We honestly have no words just yet!!

We had the most amazing time, the fort exceeded expectations helped with fabulous suppliers and fort staff which made our day completely ours. We have so many lasting memories from being in such an amazing location and would love to go back in time and do it all again if we could!

What an incredible venue! Just celebrated Lucy and Toms wedding this weekend and from Friday to Monday, we had the very best time. Sea dips every morning were so good for the soul. You guys are so lucky to have such a great place and the way you run it is just so special. Thankyou so much! Kate
