The Wellington Arms is a countryside hotel wedding venue in Hampshire, ideally located near Reading and Basingstoke, with easy access from the M3 and M4.
Offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, our venue is licensed for both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies, allowing you to host your entire day in one beautiful location.
Our private Waterloo Suite accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 160 guests for an evening reception, making it ideal for both intimate celebrations and larger weddings.
With 25 on-site bedrooms, The Wellington Arms is the perfect choice for couples looking to extend their celebration into a full wedding weekend, ensuring guests can relax and stay overnight.
We offer flexible and affordable wedding packages starting from £95 per guest, alongside room hire options ranging from £850 to £2,500, allowing you to tailor your day to suit your vision and budget.
Our talented in-house catering team delivers high-quality, seasonal menus, with everything from elegant wedding breakfasts to relaxed evening food options.

Leading up to the big day Jemma and Danni were easily contactable and available all the time to answer any questions we had no matter how small they were. And on the day was no different. A lot of our guests commented on what a lovely venue it was and how attentive the staff all were. We had the absolute best time and can’t thank everyone at The Wellington Arms enough!!!We had the most amazing day at The Wellington Arms! Leading up to the big day Jemma and Danni were easily contactable and available all the time to answer any questions we had no matter how small they were. And on the day was no different. A lot of our guests commented on what a lovely venue it was and how attentive the staff all were. We had the absolute best time and can’t thank everyone at The Wellington Arms enough!!!

Then came setting up the room we left it in the teams hand to transform the room and wow we were blown away which what they managed to do. Jemma was so supportive on the day flexible to changing the day at the last moment and not worried or stressed about the last minute changes. Thank you for making our day so special and for giving us memories that will last us forever. We look forward to coming back to the Wellington arms again now as a married couple to celebrate and enjoy the delicious food again. Initially shortlisted as it is a dog friendly venue, it was clear that it was more than that. Danni and Jemma were both amazing, answering any questions we had in the run up to the wedding. On the day itself, Jemma was superb. The weather was originally supposed to be sunny but this being the UK, that could not be counted upon. Jemma kept an eye on the forecast all morning and whatever app she used, it was spot on. It poured with rain just before the ceremony which was planned for the Rose Garden, we waited a short while whilst the rain cleared up and still managed to get married outside without getting wet. The food was great and every member of staff was friendly. Dani & Jemma the wedding co-ordinators understood my vision for my wedding and knocked it out the park. All the little details and personal touches we were able to add made the day so perfect. The Wellington arms is not only an absolutely beautiful setting and location, but it’s filled with the most amazing staff. Throughout planning Danni and Jemma were there whenever we needed them. We only planned one wedding, but they have helped so many couples achieve their dream day and nothing was too much. If I needed help they were there and not only did they provide a service to us, but they became friends. Amazing day! I’m not even sure where to start. The Wellington arms is not only an absolutely beautiful setting and location, but it’s filled with the most amazing staff. Throughout planning Danni and Jemma were there whenever we needed them. The food was absolutely incredible and had many compliments from our guests at how good the food was. Not only that but the hotel rooms aswell are amazing very spacious and modern and had many guests say how incredible they were. We got married outside in the rose garden which was beautiful and very picturesque. Do you have availability for our preferred wedding date? How far in advance should we book?
We recommend enquiring as early as possible, as popular dates (especially Saturdays in peak season) can book up quickly. Our team will be happy to check availability and suggest alternative dates if needed.
Most couples book 12–24 months in advance, but we do occasionally have late availability — so it’s always worth asking!
Do you have a wedding coordinator? Can we decorate the space ourselves?
Our experienced team will support you throughout the planning process and on the day itself.
You’re welcome to personalise the space, and we can also recommend trusted suppliers. Access will be granted from 9am. We will organise with suppliers.
Can we have both our ceremony and reception at The Wellington Arms? Do you offer outdoor ceremonies? Do you have a backup plan for outdoor ceremonies?
Yes! We are licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, allowing you to host your entire wedding day in one beautiful location.
We always have an indoor option available in case of bad weather.

Yes — both are welcome, and we can recommend trusted suppliers if needed.
