We were shown absolute hospitality at every visit, from booking the venue, to all the visits to discuss the timings of the day, the food, the DJ. Truly the venue is absolutely amazing, not a single issue at all, the day was well managed by the team.I have to say a massive thank you on behalf of myself and my wife Ifigeneia, from the day we visited the venue, which I have to add we didn't arrange: we were welcomed with open arms and told have a look around. Such stunning venue in a nice location, has indoor/outdoor concept which is perfect for day weddings on a sunny day or rainy days whenever the weather is unpredictable. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather on 3rd Sep and spent most of our time on the wedding with our guests in the gorgeous garden and patio outside. Kevin and Connor are amazing, so professional, efficient, reassuring, welcoming and easy to get in touch with.Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding! Very experienced in handling a wedding and stress. The Venue is very versatile when it comes to weather changes. Beautiful nature recently upgraded. Very accessible car park. They do everything to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly. Very supportive and very well looked after. Couldn't have asked for anything more to fulfill our dream wedding.The host and their family are amazing. They will feel like your own. Very experienced in handling a wedding and stress. It may have been cold outside, but it was warm with love, fun and laughter inside! Kevin and Conor are AWESOME!!! They were so hospitable, patient and kind…nothing was too much trouble from the start of planning the wedding till the end. The weather was perfect, the gardens looked fab in full bloom and the kids loved playing in the back field by themselves. All of our guests had a blast; even having to come in from the garden at 11pm wasn’t a problem - the party carried on seamlessly inside. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It’s difficult to choose the best wedding we’ve hosted - we’ve had some wonderfully colourful events! We do love it when couples put their own personal touches to our space.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It’s always wise to book the main components of your wedding in advance. That is registrar, venue, caterer, entertainment and florist. Once these are decided on it’s just your finishing touches left thereafter!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We’ve had a few doggies as ring bearers at our venue over the years - a lovely touch that’s for sure.

Relaxing, spacious, casual, interesting, friendly.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our Willow Grove is the perfect spot for pictures set against the backdrop of the Colne Valley Nature Reserve. Our bridge above the river Colne is a great photo spot too.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have had some big stars pass through the venue - big names from the music world but we can’t tell you here!
What’s your favourite canapé?
We offer couples the option to choose their own fully licensed catering company to provide food on the day. We’ve had some amazing food here.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
When a Pizza Van rolls up!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have a few unique features: our Grade II listed bar area (built in 1758), our gardens have a river flowing through them (full of chicks in Spring and a resident kingfisher) and we frequently have wildlife visiting the garden from the adjacent nature reserve - squirrels, muntjac deer, pheasants, moles, parakeets and red kites flying overhead.

We are proud to be an independent venue offering a personal service to couples with good communication throughout.
