It’s difficult to choose the best wedding we’ve hosted - we’ve had some wonderfully colourful events! We do love it when couples put their own personal touches to our space.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It’s always wise to book the main components of your wedding in advance. That is registrar, venue, caterer, entertainment and florist. Once these are decided on it’s just your finishing touches left thereafter!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We’ve had a few doggies as ring bearers at our venue over the years - a lovely touch that’s for sure.

Where’s the best photo spot at The Waterside Venue?
Our Willow Grove is the perfect spot for pictures set against the backdrop of the Colne Valley Nature Reserve. Our bridge above the river Colne is a great photo spot too.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at The Waterside Venue?
We have had some big stars pass through the venue - big names from the music world but we can’t tell you here!
What’s your favourite canapé?
We offer couples the option to choose their own fully licensed catering company to provide food on the day. We’ve had some amazing food here.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
When a Pizza Van rolls up!
What is The Waterside Venue most unique feature?
We have a few unique features: our Grade II listed bar area (built in 1758), our gardens have a river flowing through them (full of chicks in Spring and a resident kingfisher) and we frequently have wildlife visiting the garden from the adjacent nature reserve - squirrels, muntjac deer, pheasants, moles, parakeets and red kites flying overhead.

We are proud to be an independent venue offering a personal service to couples with good communication throughout.
