The Rose Barn is just stunning... offering a mix of contemporary styling and traditional character, making it the perfect choice for your wedding day. The Rose Barn is one of Essex’s best kept secrets, so come and see for yourself the breathtaking grounds and beautiful venue.
Set in 320 acres of rolling countryside on the Warren Estate, The Rose Barn is a gorgeous 18th Century Barn, which is offered to you, along with The Piano Bar, Limestone Terrace, Gardens and Dancefloor, on an exclusive basis.
For spring and summer weddings when the sun is shining, we offer the Oak Pergoda for your ceremony, which is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and for vow renewals. Offering a rustic setting with Oak benches and a Limestone Walkway, it's the perfect blank canvas, ideal for any style of wedding.
For wet days and for autumn & winter weddings the ceremony is moved inside to The Rose Barn, with its plethora of beams and high, cathedral like vaulted ceiling. The Oak Staircase is perfect for small group shots, if the weather isn’t kind enough to allow you outside to the immaculate Gardens. The Wood Burner offers a warm welcome for your guests as they shake off the chill of the day.
For those preferring a church wedding, the beautiful Elizabethan Church of St. Michaels, dating back to 1563, nestles in the picturesque village of Woodham Walter and is just a two minute drive away.
Our team offer a wealth of experience and your very own Wedding Manager will take care of every detail for you, so you can relax and enjoy your day. Our in-house team of Chefs are very passionate about what they do and have put together a comprehensive menu, which covers all tastes. Options are delicious, freshly cooked and presented beautifully… we know that food is extremely important on your day, so we offer generous portions and a degree of flexibility with your menus.

The venue is absolutely stunning & reason enough to book on its own, but what really made it special was Kate and her amazing team. Kate was there for me whenever I needed her — whether it was a wedding detail or me having a little (okay, maybe not so little 😅) pre-wedding meltdown, she was always calm, kind and supportive. She kept everything running so smoothly that on the day itself we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests had the best time & we had the most perfect, unforgettable day. We honestly couldn’t recommend The Warren Estate (and Kate especially!) more highly. 🫶🏻 We got married at The Warren Estate in July and it was the most amazing day ever! We stayed at the wayside house the night before with our wedding party which made for an even bigger celebration. The venue was amazing and catered for everything we asked for including a vast list of allergies. The wedding coordinators made us feel that our day was in the safest hands and that everything went smoothly, even when we forgot a vegetarian meal and it got sorted no problem, The food was amazing! Overall was an amazing day and we thank the staff for a great day, we would recommend the venue every time. We got married at the warren on the 25th of may. From the moment we arrived at the bridal house to the morning-after breakfast, everything ran smoothly and beautifully thanks to the incredible team. Jill and her team were a dream to work with—calm, organised, and full of joy. They even helped pull off one of the most memorable surprises of the day: a singing waiter, kept completely secret from the groom! It was such a fun, unexpected moment that had everyone dancing, singing and laughing. We even got to tour the grounds during golden hour on gold buggies with our photographers which was such a beautiful memory ( and created some incredible photos!) Molly and El were absolutely fantastic throughout, making sure everything flowed effortlessly. Their support meant we could fully relax and soak in every moment. You really do need a team around you that makes you feel calm, joyful, and ready to take on the world—and The Warren Estate gave us exactly that. We was able to enjoy our day with our loved ones. Everyone single one of our guest loved the venue and my brother and dad even came back to play golf the following week! - EEmily07/07/2025we had the best day ever !!!!we had the best day ever !!!!We had our special day on the 21st of June 2025 and it was honestly the best day ever. I cannot recommend the warrens estate enough, from the first time we walked in there for an open day everyone is just so friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is just gorgeous and got lots of rooms on sight where guests can stay, they are all really nice rooms with everything you need. We booked the house the night before the wedding too for me, my mum and bridesmaids to stay and it really got the weekend started, it’s got a hot tub with outdoor furniture which was beautiful as we had really nice weather over our wedding weekend. In the morning we decided to get ready in the conservatory bit as it has loads of natural lighting and you can see all the wildlife walking around. It’s massive, beautiful, quiet & clean. My mum didn’t want to leave! We had Kate as our wedding planner and she was just amazing, she makes you feel like your wedding is the only wedding she’s working with and really gives you that special feeling. Our wedding meetings was so easy and laid back which we loved! Nothings to much to ask and everyone does really bend over backwards for you. We also had Jill who was a massive help with sorting things out and made sure everything was how we wanted , she was amazing. The food on the day was INSANEEEE! I’m still dribbling over our beef wellington! Everyone since then has been saying how good the food was, so a big thank you to the staff working that day, you smashed it! My only tiny tiny criticism is the venue don’t have aircon; our wedding was on the hottest weekend of the year so far and it was hot! They did get fans in for us what was so appreciated but I don’t think it’s fair for the poor staff who work on hot days running around like they do. That is my only negative. I could really write a book on how much we loved having our wedding here, everything was perfect for us and we wouldn’t have wanted it anywhere else! From the moment we viewed the venue in January 2022 we were sold on the team! When we arrived we were greeted by Darren, Jo & Meriel who were nothing but welcoming and charming towards us. Josh and I hit it off with them straight away! As we walked around the grounds with Darren, he gave us back stories to the venue and our hearts and minds lit up to the possibilities. We booked our wedding the same day we booked our venue! It all happened so fast but it was because of the time and patience we were given throughout our experience! From day 1, we had someone to talk to if needed and we had a helping hand with every step. Our main point of call in the end was Georgia, Merial and Darren and all three couldn't have been more helpful. Suggesting vendors and showing us what had been done here previously, you name it! Not at any single point did we feel we were too much and by the time our wedding day we were genuinely saddened by the fact we wouldn't be visiting The Warren or the team on a regular basis any more! Our wedding day itself was a complete delight! We were able to get into our rooms from 10am (as no wedding the previous day) and bridal party were able to stay in the Retreat to get ready. All belongings were gathered by staff and moved to rooms as a helping hand. Georgia and Meriel visited us in the morning to give us a run down and then Darren came to pick me up in his black cab to take me to my groom! I cannot say enough how amazing it all was! The entire venue was clean, well kept and stocked with duvets/pillow etc. that were needed. All the beds were made and set up and we couldn't fault a thing! The hot tub was in working order (though we didn't use it due to rain). But everything was spectacular. The even staff were also perfect and cannot be faulted! A guest broke my dress (accidentally) and they took the time to pin me back in and make sure everything was ok throughout the day and night. I promise you there were nothing but smiles from these guys and girls! Genuinely happy to be in the line of work they are and it shows! I have recommended The Warren Estate and team to everyone I have come across since - whether they're planning weddings or not - honestly the vibes that you get from this team us unreal and you'll never find another place more positive and upbeat! Time and time again we have thanked Darren and team and we will continue to do so when we visit them on our yearly anniversary trips! 100% recommend The Warren Estate, not only for staffing and location, but for affordability too! it is and always will be a 5 out of 5 from both Josh and I! What’s your favourite canapé?
Smoked Salmon bilinis with cream cheese and chives are amazing or for a vegan or vegetarian option, the Tomato and Olive Bruschetta is amazing!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Nachos! The nachos we serve for evening food are so delicious will all the dips and the perfect finger food for the evening!
