Set amongst the rolling Shropshire countryside, Hencote is proud to offer some of the most panoramic views in the county. The View restaurant and balcony overlook the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding day and a truly memorable setting for your guests.
Hencote offers exclusive use of The View restaurant and our wedding gazebo, with access to the grounds and balcony for your celebration. The balcony and outdoor spaces are ideal for reception drinks, photographs, and relaxed moments with family and friends, allowing you to make the most of the scenery throughout the day.
We can accommodate up to 150 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for your evening celebration. Catering for weddings is provided by our trusted partner, Twisted Lemon, who will work with you to create a bespoke menu that reflects your tastes and style. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be introduced to their team to begin planning your wedding menu, while our experienced Hencote team takes care of the venue, coordination, and bar service.
Award-winning wines from our own vineyard add a special touch to your day, with all drinks provided and served by our in-house bar team. Our wines are produced from grapes grown on site, making them a unique and meaningful addition to your celebration.
Our dedicated weddings and front-of-house team are here to ensure your day runs seamlessly. From your initial enquiry through to the day itself, you will be supported by a dedicated coordinator, with meticulous attention to detail and a warm, professional service throughout.

When celebrating your wedding at Hencote, you’ll enjoy exclusive use of our wedding spaces for your special day.

Catering is provided by our trusted partner, Twisted Lemon. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be put in touch directly with their team to discuss your menu. All drinks are provided and served by Hencote.
In addition to the venue hire pricing, we require a minimum bar spend. The minimum bar spend can be made up of any drinks purchased on the day, whether by you or your guests, and will also include any pre-booked drinks or wine packages.

We got married here in the summer of 2024 and the whole event ran seamlessly from start to finish. There are stunning views of the vineyard through the floor to ceiling windows in “The View” restaurant space, together with the outdoor terrace for you to enjoy the perfect scenery. We were able to get married outside (with a lovely indoor backup option), and the entire area was so colourful and in bloom. There is modern yet timeless accommodation for the wedding party in “The Grange”, with 7 spacious rooms all with en-suite bathrooms, and a lovely entertaining and social space. The access to the garden for a pre-wedding gathering the night before was excellent. We also took advantage of the ten glamping lodges to allocate to our closest friends and family for the weekend. The lodges have all the amenities you need, with modern bathrooms, kitchens and even a hot tub in each lodge. The wedding coordinator Vivienne and her team were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Vivienne was able to bring our dream wedding to reality, with incredible attention to detail, and keeping us up to date and informed throughout the whole process. Hencote already have a comprehensive list of recommended suppliers which we found really helpful given we are not local to the area, and we were extremely satisfied with those we worked with. Vivienne was very calm and professional on the big day, ensuring there were no issues and that the day ran smoothly from start to finish. The food and drink were exceptional - needless to say the wine from the vineyard is excellent, with many of our guests purchasing wine the next day to take home. The kitchen provided a wide range of different options and was able to tweak the dishes to our requirements. The quality of the food was second to none, with the flavours and presentation of the dishes being simply wonderful. Hencote were also able to host a post-wedding brunch the following morning for 50+ guests which was the perfect way to finish our wedding weekend. Needless to say we very much recommend this venue and we will certainly be returning to the venue to visit in the future. The venue itself, the views, the staff, the co-ordinators, the food were all 10/10, I have had so many compliments on how much my guests enjoyed the day. The wedding had to be moved inside due to weather concerns a few hours before the ceremony, and I have had feedback about how professional the staff were in moving everything indoors, for example checking the lighting and running rehearsals themselves to make sure everything still goes to plan. All the big and small details of the day were planned to such precision, my guests with dietary requirements were looked after and had their own canapés, meals and evening pizzas amended for them. The band also fed back how welcomed and looked after they felt at the venue. I understand there is a new front of house/ service manager who has recently started- he was there on the day and the day after to welcome myself and the guests and had a real impact on making sure we felt welcomed and overseeing the running of service- he was a real credit to the venue! The wedding and events co-ordinator and assistant co-ordinators have been there supporting me and answering all my questions every step of the way- they are also a real credit to the venue and made my life so much easier! We also stayed at the Grange with the wedding party the night before and night of the wedding- again, the facilities, cleanliness and rooms were all 10/10. The staff were so welcoming and friendly to all of our team which made us feel so relaxed and happy during our performances. The venue itself is stunning and has such a beautiful view of the surroundings its become one of our very favourite places to play! We had such a great day performing for our couple and getting on so well with the Hencote team that we have been asked to perform at their next wedding open day and we are now part of their recommended suppliers, which is such awesome news as it means we should be able to perform a lot more at this amazing venue!We recently performed at Hencote for the first time and it was such an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived early afternoon until well into the evening we found all of the staff extremely efficient, very friendly and courteous. The food was superb and perfectly prepared, service was very good especially as there were well over a hundred guests. The sparkling wine was absolutely delicious.
