The Stone House is a boutique country house wedding venue where warmth, character and exceptional food come together under one roof.
Set in a beautifully restored 1840s house with tranquil gardens, elegant ceremony spaces and 57 bedrooms onsite, we offer couples a relaxed, heartfelt celebration with everything in one place.

Our newly renovated Princes Suite, softly lit by chandeliers, is prefect for your wedding breakfast and evening event.
Space for up to 102 guests, all of your family friends can join the celebrations.
This suite has a private bar and bathrooms so yu guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful setting in one place.
Licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies in our Garden Room with traditional features and large floor to ceiling windows overlooking our beautiful and romantic grounds. We cant think of a more prefect way to say 'I do'... 💗💕

Staff went above and beyond their duties to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Wedding breakfast was delicious and everyone commented on how good it was. There were 2 gluten free and one vegetarian who said they were well catered for. Evening buffet was excellent and everyone comment on quality Bride stayed 2 nights in one of the suites with own garden area, room was really spacious enough for all 6 bridesmaids to get ready including hair/makeup people. Staff were amazing, food and rooms excellent from the moment we got there till the moment we left nothing was too much trouble and everything was perfect. The hotel and staff just made it a perfect day. We chose the Stone House for a few reasons. We have used the hotel a lot in the past both to stay and use the lovely little pool, sauna and gym facilities. Our guests enjoyed these too! We had a lot of family and friends travelling so it was great to have a venue with rooms and all facilities on site. The wedding packages are also reasonable We got married at The Stone House Hotel last Saturday and the whole day was amazing. The hotel and staff just made it a perfect day. From the initial meeting with Natalie months before we then met with Abbie on numerous occasions. Both ladies were present on the big day and our wedding ceremony and the whole day and evening was perfect, including our wedding breakfast food and the later evening buffet. - JJack & Chloe20/04/2024The most beautiful day!The most beautiful day!Where do I even start me and my partner Jack have a personal love for stone house hotel as we visited the hotel for many visits aka pool and jacuzzi and there amazing food. But as me and jack were starting our venue hunt after visiting Serval venue's we started to loose hope places didn't treat us fairly and really ruined our experience until we found out our favourite place did weddings so we immediately set up a meeting and a tour and we instantly fell in love with the venue. The princes suite looked like a ball room and completely fit our vibe and then we were shown the garden ceremony room which was also stunning. There were so many beautiful spots in the gorgeous hotel and the more we saw the more we fell in love! In the last few months we're a very stressful time but our amazing wedding planners were supportive and made sure everything was under control. Elle was fabulous and so friendly and always put us at ease and I couldn't of wished for a better wedding coordinator! The venue looked absolutely stunning on the day everything was perfect and the staff were beyond helpful making sure every single thing ran smoothly especially the bar staff & kitchen staff! Waiting staff! Literally every staff member was so helpful! Even the a cleaner came into our suite and cleaned it up as I was worried it looked messy! What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number 1 tip is to always make sure you know your next step and be ahead of other couples in your area! Now in the wedding world this can be tricky, but with our wedding planning guide this gives you the upper hand on what to do next. Suppliers such as photographers and florists can get booked up pretty far in advance depending on the area, so to get your first choice, always plan ahead!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Hand drawn cards from students and nursery children! The bride was a teacher in a primary school, so all of the little ones made handmade cards that were strung from a rustic pallet. Watching the wedding guests reading their cute messages was amazing. We always love when couple bring their work and hobbies into their big day, to give that personal touch.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
A romantic photo on the old original staircase is defiantly a must! The staircase is original to the building and dates back to around 1840, so it's really a classy and grand spot for a photo.
