Wedding Venue

Thanks to Marcus and staff for hosting our wedding that we had planned for the past 16 months with the previous event manager. Although they only had a week to get their heads round my detailed requests they got everything spot on. The venue is beautiful and quirky... the gardens and function room are perfect for a intimate wedding.

My wonderful visit

This was a return visit, which speaks for itself. When I go to Leek, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The room was a good size, with beautiful curtains, and an exciting bathroom. Parking was no problem. The welcome was exceptional. I so enjoyed my visit.

Lovely time

What a lovely hour or two we all had this weekend in the beautiful bar, chatting away with the lovely, friendly, interesting owners. Not only are they really welcoming, charming, funny and pull a lovely pint, but they were so into music and played us loads of brilliant tracks, gave me some new tunes to listen to. Brilliant start to our evening.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at The Silk House?

As I can't say all of them, I must say the most recent, it was clear the big day was all about them, a comment often said but this was about what they wanted for their day and it was all about confirming their love for each other, they were less focused on staging the event and all the family and close friends had a great time. The brides family stayed the night before so it was nice for us to get to know them and the groom on the night told his guest when it was time to go home.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

A groom performing in our cellar bar something he had been working on.
