Shottle Hall is an elegant Derbyshire Country House Hotel and Wedding Barn. Nestled on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Set in beautiful grounds with stunning views over the Ecclesbourne Valley. Whether you want a small intimate celebration or a more lavish affair we can cater from 30 to 90 guests for a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast. And up to 150 guests for your evening reception in our Orangery Restaurant. Our brand new Barn will be completed for Summer 2025 and will make the most of the beautiful uninterrupted views over the open countryside. This new addition to the Shottle Hall Estate combines the traditional stone built coach house with a state of the art modern Barn and we can't wait to share this new exciting venue with you. The Barn can cater for larger wedding parties of between 70-150 guests for your wedding breakfast and then up to 250 guests for your evening reception.

My family took over Shottle Hall in 2006 and we have turned it into one of Derbyshire's Finest Wedding Venues.
At the heart of our business is family and we extend our hospitality to your family and friends.
We have a beautiful venue in a stunning location, fantastic food and drink, and more importantly a warm and friendly team that will help your day run smoothly.

Our venue hire prices include exclusive use of the Shottle Hall Estate including all 8 bedrooms for the night of the Wedding. All staff, banqueting furniture, table linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, cake stand with knife is also included in the venue hire price.
You will be allocated a dedicated wedding coordinator who will help with the planning of your day and act as master of ceremonies for you (Please note all our prices include VAT, we are very transparent with our prices here at Shottle Hall so no nasty surprises!)

The Hall and the grounds are absolutely stunning, and it was great having so much space available to us. Niamh was absolutely fantastic from the very first interaction and nothing was too much. She answered every single question we had and made sure our day went perfectly. We are so grateful to all the staff at Shottle (especially Niamh and Daniella) for going above and beyond and making our day so special. The food was incredible and all of our guests went away very full! The bridal suite with the 4 poster bed is so comfortable, the orangery was beautiful, the barn was perfect for our ceremony and the marquee was roomy for our evening guests followed by the amazing outdoor space and bandstand where we had unforgettable fireworks. Holly our wedding coordinator was outstanding throughout! Holly was always a step ahead and ensured myself & now husband and our guests had an unforgettable day!Shottle hall was our dream wedding venue. Our wedding coordinator Holly, from the get go she was amazing at communicating with us, sorting any queries. I was quite stressed up until our meeting where Holly calmed all my anxieties and put me at ease, and on the day she made sure it all went smoothly! The food was gorgeous and we had compliments from everyone on the venue & the food. We have so many! One of our fave spots is our newly appointed Italian style gardens.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have hosted several footballers wedding from Derby County and had quite a few celebrity visitors here at Shottle Hall. One of our Fave's has to be when Colin Firth (Mr Darcy) came to stay while filming locally.

Our Fave Canapé has to be the mini beef burgers :)
