This award-winning community garden is designed with naturalistic planting to create a piece of the countryside dropped into the city. Full of flower and birdsong, it is the ideal wedding venue for those who dream of a country wedding but who want the convenience of Central London's amenities and transport connections. We offer a range of hire options to suit each couple's requirements and have local partners who can provide food and beverages. - FFran and Josh05/05/2025Beautiful charming wedding venue Beautiful charming wedding venueWe got married at the Phoenix garden in September 2024 with approximately 65 guests and it was the perfect day. As the venue is a community garden, the space felt relaxed, warm and inviting which is exactly what we were after. The flowers and foliage of the garden looked beautiful and provided a great space for guess to mill about and take photos in. On the day the community garden was clean and tidy with leaves well swept and it was closed to the public for the private reservation. There was also a marquee that we planned to use if it rained but luckily we didn’t need to as the sun was shining. The event organisers made sure everything ran smoothly without fuss and helped us feel at ease both on the day and in the planning beforehand. As the space is a dry hire venue we opted to buy drinks from Majestic Wines who you can rent glasses from and they delivered the drinks chilled with ice. We chose to set up our own food beforehand but were told that caterers can also be used. It is truly a unique location in central london especially if you are looking for a more relaxed / bohemian style of venue with an eco aspect. It also felt great to support a charity on our wedding day, knowing that it would benefit a garden which is enjoyed by so many. The gently rolling paths make the gardens feel so much larger than they are, there are so many nooks and different environments, such as the lovely ponds. Anywhere along the paths in the heart of the garden. The foliage and plants make for a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've not had a celebrity wedding yet. However, Emilia Clarke and Emma Thompson shot some of their film 'Last Christmas' at the garden which was incredibly exciting!

Brie & Cranberry Phyllo Cups – Buttery, melty, and just the right amount of sweet.

🥤 Milk & cookies – the childhood classic, but fancy!

The location! New visitors are always surprised that such a beautiful green space exists in Central London. The venue is often described as an 'oasis'.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Not only are we a wedding venue, but we are also a community garden! It's amazing that we can offer such a beautiful, natural space for local residents to escape from city life.
