Since 1868, The Palace Hotel has been a prominent building in the vibrant spa town of Buxton. It has now become one of the most prestigious Conference & Wedding venues in the region. Perfectly situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park making it easily accessible for visitors using motorway networks from around the whole of the UK including, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so your entire day can take place under one roof, we also have fabulous grounds for your photographs. We have three unique and gorgeous function rooms available for you to choose from. These rooms feature stained glass windows, extravagant décor and beautiful views across our grounds.
We provide Wedding packages including Wedding breakfasts, evening buffets and drink options; however we pride ourselves on our flexibility for adapting to your requirements. Our dedicated events team will be on hand to ensure that we do everything that we can to make sure that you have the perfect day.
You and your party will also receive complimentary access to the health club & spa, to be pampered before your big day and during your stay, plus free car parking for your ease.

- HHannah and Paul05/08/2024A fairytale wedding come true.A fairytale wedding come true.Myself and Paul first discovered The Palace Hotel back in February 2022 after searching for Wedding Venues in one of our favourite places Buxton. Paul contacted the Hotel and arranged for a meeting and show around with one of the Wedding and Events Co-ordinator's, we went to the meeting with my mum Rebecca and Pauls dad Ian, we all fell in love with the Hotel and my mum said if your happy and you want your wedding here I will secure the date and pay the deposit. Flashing forward to The Big Day! My morning started early along with my Bridal party for us to have our hair and makeup done and to get ready, as discussed and arranged with the Hotel we had our breakfast orders sent to the beautiful Palace Suite which was lovely. Both Melissa and Fiona came to see me in the suite and check that myself and my Bridal party were doing ok, Melissa and Fiona were so comforting and helpful as they have been from the very start, no request was ever too much and along with Melissa and Fiona the whole of the hotel crew from all departments went above and beyond as they always have done each time we have visited the hotel for both meetings about the wedding and also on the many social occasions we have spent there with our family, the hotel truly is a home away from home for Myself and Paul. The whole day ran smoothly and every detail was perfect thanks to the venue stylists Alison, Abbie and their team at Rumour Entertainments who worked along side the Hotel crew. Our three course meal was delicious and very filling all of our guests commented on how the food was the best they had, ever at a wedding and each and everyone of us was full which kept us all going until the evening buffet which was also delicious and filling, our compliments were made to the chef's for their wonderful food. We had The Chatsworth Suite for our ceremony and our wedding sit down meal, the room turn around that was in place between the ceremony and wedding sit down meal was carried out whilst ourselves and our wedding guests were outside for photo's and whilst we went across to the gardens at the park for further photo's which we travelled to in horse and carriage which was a beautiful experience, Melissa and Fiona both took good care of the horse and carriage on the day and made sure that all went smoothly. The Evening Reception started off with an Elvis Tribute followed by a Celine Dion Tribute both artists were taken good care of during their time at the Hotel. The rest of the evening was taken care of by Natalie and the rest of the events team and they made sure we were all having the best time. From start to finish the Hotel team and everyone else who helped to make our day so special have truly become good friends who we know we will see often as our time visiting the lovely Hotel is not over as it has become one of our favourite places to visit. - MMelissa & Dan04/08/2024The best dayThe best dayWe are so glad that we chose the Palace Hotel for our wedding venue. The support that we received from the wedding coordinator Melissa was faultless. She was involved in so much of the planning which really took the pressure off of us and made the wedding planning process enjoyable. Every time we met her we left the meeting feeling positive and excited, and felt confident in her. We are also extremely grateful that she agreed to meet us on Saturdays as we both work full time during the week, and also she replied to my emails very quickly which also made me feel at ease. She was very professional, but also really friendly and approachable. She came up with a schedule that worked well for us and allowed us time to go to a local valley for our photos. Nat was also co-ordinating the day and we were so impressed by her hard work as well, she really helped the day to flow smoothly. The venue is absolutely stunning with big bright rooms and traditional elements. The venue dressing and DJ were also brilliant. We absolutely loved the decor and it was even better than what we were hoping for! We can't believe how much decor was included in the package price, and the optional extras eg flower arch were well priced and looked lovely. We loved doing the wedding as a package, it made the planning so much easier. The bridal suite to get ready in was so nice, and we also enjoyed the menu tasting. Overall we had such a good experience at the Palace Hotel, particularly due to Melissa and the wonderful staff. Melissa and Nat are a massive credit to the hotel very attentive, caring and just generally lovely ladies, to get along with.
