First of all, the setting up the day before, we were left completely without help. The manager left an hour after we got there and the 2 owners were nowhere to be found even though they were suppose to be helping with the heavy lifting, moving tables and answering any of our questions and requests for the following day. They had also told us that they had speakers and a microphone so I had passed this onto our DJ so she didn't bring her own speakers. Only to find out on the morning of the wedding that they were built in speakers (12 of them) but that you couldn't connect to more than 2 or 3 at a time. Which was useless. So we had to do it with only 2 little ceiling speakers. They also didn't seem to know if the ceiling sockets were working or how to turn them on if they were. They had a microphone but had no idea how to connect it. So we then had to result to shouting over the top of people during announcements and speeches. The so called "bridal suite" was a tiny double room with a very run down shower room. And then the £4000 we paid to use this venue, didn't even get us a breakfast the following morning as the kitchen was closed. The owners then had the nerve to threaten charging us extra for bringing out some traybakes I'd made that we'd asked to store in the fridge the day before. Honestly, avoid this place at all costs.
