The Orangery

At The Orangery for making our reception absolutely perfect! The decorations were exactly what we envisaged and it was really emotional for us to see them look so perfect on the day after all the time we spent planning and making them. All our guests commented on how amazing the food was and we really appreciate everyone at The Orangery’s kind wishes and congratulations and even the slight change in plan when we had a spur of the moment didgeridoo performance! Thank you again for everything.

From the day we viewed the venue we knew it was ‘ the one’. That was however very much helped by how lovely, organised and knowledgeable Michelle was. She emailed me back within hours every time I sent a frantic email and always calmed me down and reassured me. Our day was run by Kerry and then Michelle. Both were absolutely AMAZING! Nothing was too much for them and the entire day went so so smoothly and exactly as I asked. The food was incredible.

Views from every vista and the food was incredible. If you're looking for a dreamy and classic wedding destination that ticks every box and then some ,please don't hesitate to book your event with Michelle and her team. Honestly, it's really to put into words our wedding day, because I feel words don't justify how Michelle, Kerri and the whole team as The Orangery made us feel on what was the best day of our lives. Michelle was so quick and responsive to all of my questions and small details and no question was ever a silly question. We met with Michelle and Kerri the day before our wedding and they made us feel so at ease and everything was organised and prepped ready to go. Kerri set up the reception decorations for us which was such an amazing treat to walk into what was a stunning room. Kerri was so attentive throughout the whole food service, with so many compliments from our friends and family about how delicious the food was and the wine choice as well. The whole team was just incredible, even with constantly serving us throughout the night and we can't say a bigger thank you to The Orangery. The actual venue itself is stunning with so many different areas for guests to explore. It was such an experience, especially with getting a ferry back across to Plymouth to end the night. We cannot express our gratitude so much. What a place to get married. Thank you so much!!

Michelle and the team at The Orangery couldn't have been more professional and supportive in helping us arrange our wedding day. The venue and gardens are beautiful, and a stone's throw from the water's edge, which added real scale and grandeur to the occasion. Our guests arrived and left via ferry which they all loved, and from the welcome drinks to the goodnight pasties, everything ran seamlessly and on time. The whole day was brilliantly organised and executed by The Orangery's wonderfully capable and conscientious team. Michelle really listened to us during our planning meetings, but she was also great at offering advice and made us feel completely at ease. Planning a wedding is definitely stressful, but The Orangery couldn't have done more to welcome us and the team worked so hard to make sure we had the most perfect day. The venue, the proprietor, the amazing food and service are truly worthy of this five star review. Thank you so much.

It really was the most perfect day from start to finish. Leading up to the wedding and on the day, Michelle and her team were dedicated to helping us achieve the wedding day we had dreamed of. Michelle was very helpful, answering all our questions, accommodating all our requests and always responding quickly to emails. The team were incredibly supportive throughout the planning process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Michelle went above and beyond and had an amazing eye for detail. We had several comments throughout the evening about how great the service was. The venue's layout both indoors and outdoors, was ideal for a summer wedding. Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and they were able to enjoy the surrounding gardens throughout the day. We highly recommend The Orangery.

A great place to hold your wedding reception, especially if you have just been married in Maker Church. Michelle was wonderful, both in terms of the planning and the day itself. She went out of her way to make the whole event memorable for all the right reasons. I'm so grateful to her (and the team).

We got married at Mt Edgcumbe House and had our reception at the Orangery. Every element of the day was perfect, from the setting to the staff. It’s a beautiful building and garden in a stunning part of the world. Highly recommend hiring for whatever event you have planned or just popping in for a tea. Thank you to Michelle and the team!

The venue ticked all of our boxes. It was close to our church, big enough to host all of our friends and family, reasonably priced, and the team were friendly, professional, approachable, passionate and personable. They were super responsive to all our questions, no matter the time of day or day of the week- nothing was ever too stupid or too difficult. We were so impressed with their organisation and communication.
