The impressive wine list has amazing selection of wines to see for a restaurant outside of London. First impressions were of Anna in the bar. A delightful eloquent engaging young lady who really promoted the new product. On her recommendation we booked for the following evening. They’ve stripped all the old and replaced with the new. New paint, new furniture, new menu, new rooms, new everything. It’s a historic building brought into 2022 with amazing taste. The new dining room was an amazing place for a Sunday roast. The dinner menu looks fantastic and we can’t wait to come back!The hotel has been taken over and restored to its former glory by the new owners. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were promptly shown to our room which was lovely . The decor was very tasteful and definitely still in keeping with the old building. Our room was spacious , well equipped with various tea / coffee’s and a coffee machine .The bed was really comfortable and the linen and towels were off a high quality .
