Description
The Lion Ballroom is situated in the heart of Leominster in Herefordshire off Broad Street, accessed through an archway with large gates that can be closed during private functions. The building offers all modern amenities, Wi-Fi, toilets, stairs, lift, and disabled access, while offering exclusive use. The venue hire includes hire of the ballroom, use of the chairs and tables, catering kitchen and an additional room if needed. There is also access to private outside space and use of the carpark. This unique venue holds up to 100 guests and is perfect for an intimate wedding for a couple who would like an exclusive location. It now has a wedding licence and you can either choose Dry Hire or a Wedding Package. Dry Hire allows you to hire the venue and take control of your event from start to finish, making every decision. Alternatively, you can have a bespoke wedding package and choose all aspects of your wedding including the catering, flowers and styling from our trusted suppliers. Welcome to The Lion Ballroom in Leominster. We have a small intimate wedding venue, which allows flexibility and a personal touch. Each event is different and you can tailor your wedding and reception to your style. If you would like to organise your own event and use your own suppliers, you may hire the venue exclusively or you are able to use our listed suppliers and have all or some elements organised for you.

The venue hire includes exclusive use of the venue from Friday midday to Sunday midday. It includes the use of the ballroom, tables and chairs, the catering kitchen, use of the carpark, the space outside from late afternoon through the evening, a member of staff on site during your event and the venue has a wedding licence. You may choose your own caterers or you may use our caterers at an additional charge. You will be able to choose your own menu for your event.
Ceremony from £500 and then increasing to a maximum of £2999 depending on number of guests.

Its classical elegance, with graceful columns, lends itself beautifully for an intimate wedding and the lovely large windows allow light to flood into the ballroom too. A fabulous place for stunning photos and the subtle décor works well with any colour scheme. With tables dressed in vintage cloths and gorgeous china and table linen, the ballroom takes on an air of having an afternoon tea in places such as Bath’s famous Pump Room and the Ritz but in a beautiful venue in Herefordshire. However, it also lends itself well to other events such as the traditional dinner dance or Rock and Roll dance with space for dancing and room for tables and chairs, concerts, exhibitions and fairs. And while the venue is a brilliant starting place you are then able to call upon the Lion Ballroom for help with local suppliers from the register that they hold in the knowledge that they are working with people who are passionate about their businesses. I must say I was blown away by how beautiful the ballroom is. The ornate chandelier is the focal point of the room along with stunning architecture all around the ceiling. Huge windows that let in floods of natural daylight and a lovely reception entrance really allows you to creatively design your wedding theme to perfection. Jo is just lovely. So welcoming and friendly. She was the perfect host throughout the day and I know she and her team will collaborate with you to make your wedding day, the day of dreams! Nestled in the centre of the picturesque town of Leominster, this venue gives you a stunning backdrop with a lovely blank canvas to make your own. Plus you have use of their courtyard too, partially under cover you can utilise this and have another beautiful space to use as your own. I have held several events here and I am always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for Jo and her team. As soon as you walk through those large wooden doors you are met with some amazing architecture, wonderfully restored to how it should be. The large, drooping chandeliers, the exquisite sash windows to the wonderful restored wooden floor. This was before it was even dressed. It is good to see money being put back into the venue with a beautiful new kitchen and a new reception room. I hope to hold many more events over the coming years. The Lion Ballroom in Leominster is one of the most beautiful venues I have had the pleasure to work in. The space is so atmospheric and versatile. We used the space downstairs for reception drinks , a space that can so easily be overlooked, and having the front room , as more of a quiet room, it was the perfect venue. We have used the venue for a fund raising fashion show which again it lends itself to as we could utilise the stage. Thirdly, after a major spruce up, we were fortunate to secure a table at the very well supported, supper club. What other venue could accommodate a top chef in a fully fitted catering kitchen along with the ambiance of sitting under stunning chandeliers but retaining a fun and relaxed environment. A fantastic evening once again on this stunning space. This is a stunning venue with easy access and so so many possibilities. We have been lucky to use The Lion Ballroom on a couple of occasions.
