Let your fairytale Wedding come true at The Kedleston Country House, which also offers stunning views of the Derbyshire countryside.
If you’re looking for an idyllic location to host your wedding day, then look no further.
Our award-winning events team will be on hand throughout the entire wedding planning process, from the booking of the venue, until the last person leaves the dancefloor, so you can rest assured knowing that your special day is in good hands.
When you say your ‘I Do’s!’, you have a choice of two locations. Our stunning Orangery with its glass roof and panoramic views of the countryside, can seat up to 70 guests; alternatively, up to 50 guests can be seated in the Dining Room, with high set windows and stunning architecture.
After your nuptials, guests can enjoy drinks and canapes.
If weather permits, our terrace and lawns are a great place to mix and mingle, or alternatively, the snug and bar will be open for your guests to relax in our stylish and comfortable chairs, taking in the gorgeous character of the Venue.
For your wedding breakfast, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs, whether you’re looking for a lavish 3-course affair, or a relaxed tapas-style dinner. When you’re planning your special day, you will work closely with our events team and caterers to ensure the menu is perfectly suited to your taste.

Perfect wedding day!Throughout the planning process Sarita was friendly, helpful and responsive to any questions we had, working with us to ensure we were happy with everything ahead of the day. Helen and Sally were really accomodating, allowing us to drop off our decorations the day before. They also did a brilliant job putting them out for us in the morning following plans we had sent. This was so helpful and meant we didn't have the added stress of decorating on the day. The day ran so smoothly thanks to Sarita and the team, meaning we could relax and enjoy every moment! Both the wedding breakfast and evening food was excellent- we had lots of compliments from our guests. The staff serving were friendly and attentive. All the bedrooms are lovely and breakfast the following morning was also great. We highly recommend the Kedleston Country House, and love that we can go back to our wedding venue for a meal or drink and reminisce on our special day! Everything was magical from start to finish! The Wedding co-ordinator Sarita took care of everything and made us feel super at ease and reassured we’d be getting the day we wanted! She was also super easy to get hold of and answered our queries promptly! The team on the Wedding day were so fantastic, the level of customer service and friendliness was sensational! Helen and Lee were amazing on the day (and the night before). Diane in housekeeping completely transformed the Bridal Suite after the chaos of using it to get ready in the morning and I was blown away with how lovely it looked come the Wedding Night. Sally was super friendly and chatty the day after the Wedding at breakfast! The food was phenomenal both on the Wedding Day and the breakfast the following morning! The rooms are lovely, we’ll equipped with plenty of amenities and there is no noise pollution. I cannot rate the venue high enough and everyone in the team was so invested in ensuring myself, the Groom and the guests were having the best time! We only had a small wedding of 35 guests and wanted a venue which would be able to accommodate a more relaxed intimate atmosphere and the Kedleston was perfect. The feel of the venue really offers that cosy, homely atmosphere we were after. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful throughout the whole planning process and they went above and beyond on the actual day itself. A special mention needs to be made to Lucy, who was so helpful during the lead up to the wedding, she kept me up to date with all the final little details of the day and made sure everything was perfect and as we wanted it to be. She was so responsive to my messages and accommodating to our requests. On the day of our wedding she really made sure that I was relaxed and happy throughout and kept checking in on me, which was very much appreciated. The same can also be said for Sarah, who really took the time and effort to get to know us and also our guests on the day, as well as ensuring that everything was running smoothly. The food throughout the wedding and the next morning at breakfast was perfect and all the guests commented on how lovely each course was. The rooms were so comfortable and luxurious. The hotel was lovely with friendly staff cozy public areas and plenty of parking ; the place was spotless. Rolling bath and super powerful shower. King size bed so comfortable. Dog friendly too! The hosts Helen and Sally are really lovely people, we loved everything about the place so much that we asked if we could extend our stay. Helen was very accommodating and made it happen despite full bookings. Lovely breakfast and courtyard garden perfect setting with a cold cider and jug of pimms. Such a lovely location for exploring the Peak District and Keldeston Hall which is just down the lane! Helen and Sally took over this establishment just before lockdown and as the proud new owners they are very welcoming and friendly and made our stay special. Thank you to them and good luck for a successful future. We’d highly recommend Kedleston Country House for a break away, dinner and drinks. Also this is a perfect wedding venue! We had the Sunday roast which was absolutely beautiful and huge portions. Cocktails were top notch and very reasonably priced. Very helpful hosts with a warm welcome. As it was a Monday it was only a continental breakfast on offer but really nice all the same, the cooked breakfast on the menu looked lovely and if the dinner was anything to go by im sure the breakfast would have been equally as good. The venue itself is stunning, a beautiful mixture of modern comfort and rustic charm, very well laid out with plenty of different spaces for guests to make themselves comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our special thanks to Nikki for taking note of every little detail in the weeks leading upto the big day. We had a lot of very specific requirements we wanted to incorporate to recognise our Scottish and Bulgarian heritage and everything came together seamlessly. Even our last minute changes were incorporated without issue. We had approximately 50 day guests plus a few more in the evening, which felt cosy without being too crowded. Part of our evening entertainment included a 2 piece band plus ceilidh dancing, which the venue was comfortably able to accommodate. The food was delicious, both meat and vegetarian options received high praise from our guests, and the bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. This time I went with my partner as this has perfect date night vibes written all over it. The Kedleston Country House is a restaurant, B&B and event venue in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. The owners took over the business in early 2020 – right as the pandemic hit! And finally, after the best part of 18 months being closed, they’ve been able to reopen again. They have hired a new head chef, Manuel Bissoli. Manuel has created a gorgeous new Summer a la carte menu, which combines traditional British flavours with influences from his Mediterranean roots. We went for:- STARTERS: cider steamed mussels served with pan fried chorizo, garlic crumble and fresh parsley slow cooked porcetta- pork belly on a bed of warm potato with green bean salad MAINS: Shrimps- chargrilled king prawns with garlic, onion and chilli crumble served with black squid ink rice Derbyshire sirloin with stone milled polenta, mushroom and demi glaze DESSERTS: chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce cheese selection- 5 cheeses with biscuits, grapes, celery and chutney The menu had a lot of great choices, the food was DIVINE and the staff were great.
