- SSamantha & Lee08/01/2025Superb Wedding VenueSuperb Wedding VenueWe only had 20 guests to the day but The Great Victoria couldn’t do enough for us to make it intimate and special. We had our formal wedding breakfast on one floor. Then moved downstairs for our evening reception. This room is the best in my opinion so private. They did all the hard work moving decorations from each room. We stayed in a junior suite which was also stunning. The building has a lovely staircase. Was able to have lovely photos. The wedding planner works with you and your budget. We only had 20 guests to the day but The Great Victoria couldn’t do enough for us to make it intimate and special. Nothing was too much for him, I would recommend this place because of Faris. Although I have forgotten the gentleman's name who ran the wedding for us, I can't thank him enough. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Amanda was amazing, along with all the bat staff as well. The food was amazing. If having a wedding here, ask for Anisa, she is amazing at organising things.Fantastic wedding venue, staff are absolutely amazing and really caring. Every wedding is unique and different from style and decor to the music and meal, making sure that our couples have their perfect day is what makes it the best.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be realistic and honest in your planning goals from budget to guest list
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Again their are so many to choose from, one of my favorites is during speeches to get all your guests to write a personal message to the newly weds on a small card and keep this in a trinket box for the couple to keep and open of their first wedding anniversary.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have such a wide verity of stunning picture points at the hotel. One of my person favorites is our ornate 1678 fire place.

That's a secret we couldn't tell...
What’s your favourite canapé?
We do such a wide variety but my personal favourite would be our mini take away selection
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You can't beat a board of Cold meats, cheeses, bread rolls & biscuits to nibble on late at night

Our unique venue is filled with personality mixing the old world grandeur with modern luxury.
