Description

Built in 1506, the Grade II* listed barn is nestled in the picturesque grounds of a scheduled monument heritage site featuring a further three historic listed buildings, beautiful landscaped gardens and a 14th century moat. Situated in Harrow, just 40 minutes from the heart of London and with easy access to the M25, M40, M1 and Heathrow Airport, The Great Barn at Headstone Manor and Museum is the ideal venue for weddings, civil ceremonies and special occasions. Our dedicated events team guarantee the highest level of service to ensure that your day is truly memorable. We would be delighted to show you around their magnificent site and wonderful historic buildings, and can also recommend fantastic caterers, photographers, florists, entertainment and other suppliers who are familiar with the site.

Important Notes:

We operate as a dry hire venue, so you’ll need to bring in your own catering, décor, linens, and entertainment. We have a preferred supplier list (attached) to help with this.
No indoor cooking is allowed. The catering tent must be used for all cooking, and only gas or electric equipment is permitted—no wood burners or coal BBQs.
No corkage fees. You’re welcome to bring your own alcohol or hire a bar supplier. However, drinks cannot be sold onsite, so all alcohol must be prepaid or provided by you. Your caterer or bar supplier will have access to our bar fridges, ice machine, and glass dishwasher.
Capacity:
Up to 250 guests for a ceremony
Up to 200 seated for a reception (For larger seated numbers, a marquee would be needed, with the barn used for dancing and social space.)

Our wedding package includes: - Hire of the barn from 10.00 to 23.00 Monday to Wednesday and 10.00 to 23.55 Thursday to Sunday. All suppliers and guests need to be off site by this time. - An allocated Events Coordinator from the venue - Duty managers - Access to the museum grounds for photos - Fairy lights! - Uplighters that can be programmed to various colours - Use of all the fridges within the bar and bar store area, along with a supply of ice and dishwasher - Tables and Chiavari Chairs - Use of Easels, shabby-chic divider doors, shutter dividers, ceremony table and welcome guest book table - Use of outdoor grassland to the rear of the barn for a marquee, outdoor ceremony or drinks reception - Dressing room. - Use of the finishing kitchen with 2x hot cupboards, 2x industrial sized fridges, hot water (This area is for plating up, the area at the rear of the barn is for cooking) - Use of (fixed) catering tent at the rear of the barn for cooking - Use of public car park - Sound equipment for background music and speeches. We don’t offer in-house catering, but we do have a handpicked list of recommended caterers you can explore! You’re also welcome to bring in your own choice of caterer, they’ll just need to provide the relevant documentation and arrange a site visit with us beforehand.

We got married at The Great Barn at Headstone Manor on 12th September 2026 and honestly, we couldn't have wished for a more perfect venue. It was, without a doubt, the most amazing day of our lives, and the barn played such a huge part in making it so special. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The beautiful wooden beams, the character of the building and the atmosphere it creates are something else. Seeing it all come together on our wedding day, with our flowers, decorations and all our favourite people in one place, was genuinely magical. We've had so many lovely comments from our family and friends about how beautiful the venue was, and we couldn't agree more. But as wonderful as the barn is, what really made the experience so special was the people behind it. We have to give the biggest thank you to Gabi, who was an absolute star throughout the whole process. From the planning stages right through to the wedding itself, she was so lovely to deal with. Always patient, approachable, helpful and genuinely invested in making our day everything we wanted it to be. There are so many decisions, questions and little changes that come with planning a wedding, and Gabi was brilliant through all of it. Whether it was discussing the layout, sorting out the finer details or answering yet another question from us, she always made time and did everything with a smile. We never felt like just another couple booking a venue. On the day, everything came together so beautifully. Having our ceremony and celebrations in such a wonderful setting, surrounded by everyone we love, is something we'll never forget. We were able to be completely present and enjoy every moment, which is all you can really ask for on your wedding day. It's now been a month since our wedding and we're still talking about it, looking through the first few photographs and wishing we could do the whole thing all over again! To Gabi and the whole team at The Great Barn, thank you so much for everything. You helped give us memories that we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. Beautiful wedding at the Great BarnBeautiful wedding at the Great Barn
We had our wedding here in November 2025 & it was so perfect <3 I knew I wanted to get married somewhere with a cosy rural vibe and the Great Barn delivered! Gabby & her colleagues were so patient, warm and helpful and made a the very stressful process of planning a wedding as smooth as possible. We were able to make multiple visits (sometimes at weird hours) and Gabby always tried her best to accomodate our requests, and made sure we were listened to throughout the whole process. The barn itself is beautiful and really well equipt with speakers, lights, and gorgeous festoon style lights hanging from the ceiling. There's also way more space than you might think, we had 20 guests and still had space for a dance floor, dj, bar, chocolate fountain and photobooth! We had both our civil ceremony and reception, and hired a marquee for our guests to have nibble in just outside whilst the room changeover took place, which took about only about 90 mins. There's a small cottage where I got ready witha few bridesmaids before the ceremony - it's not huge but fits 3/4 people in comfortably and there's a bathroom and kitchenette (which was so handy for when I needed a break from everyone mid wedding lol). Plus - it was so reasonably priced and you know you're not getting ripped off because it's owned by the council (support public sector properties!!!!) <3 Highly reccomend getting married here, best day of my life. Thank you Great Barn team you guys are the best!! We had our wedding at The Great Barn and it is truly a lovely venue - rustic, great location, good price! There is ample parking for guests and a bridal suite onsite. I would highly recommend it for your wedding events. Gabriela was very helpful throughout the planning! The venue is very beautiful and looks fantastic in photos but what matters also is the people you work with during your planning and on the day itself. Gabriela has been the most wonderful, sweet and patient person with us and could not sing her praises more! She really helped ease our planning stress so much and has been so accommodating and just wonderful to work with. We were able to have a fab, stress free day because of her! Thank you so much :) The venue is very beautiful and looks fantastic in photos but what matters also is the people you work with during your planning and on the day itself. I cannot recommend Headstone Manor enough as a wedding venue. The staff were extraordinarily professional. They took all the pain out of organising the wedding. They coordinated our vendors, they managed the set up, they were there throughout the wedding to provide support and they made the whole experience such a pleasure. As the groom, I didn’t need to worry at any point. I cannot emphasise enough how great they were. The venue itself is extraordinary. It was such a versatile space and it allowed us to comfortably host 155 guests for a buffet and a ceilidh. And of course, the barn is incredibly beautiful. All in all, just wonderful. Leading up to the big day Mariam was absolutely fantastic and we cannot recommend her and her team highly enough. Every little detail was thought of and taken care of, and our day ran so smoothly thanks for Mariam.
